Saffrron Restaurant — Restaurant in Northern Territory

I have been in Darwin for nearly 2 years and really enjoyed using this restaurant up until recently.

Saffron is an expensive Indian restaurant, which is fine if you are getting what you pay for. Half the time the restaurant can not get a simple order right.

I ordered a take away a couple of weeks ago around 630 and the order did not rock up till 8:30. I spoke with the restaurant and they had no idea where the driver was, they finally made contact with him and said he was a couple of mins away.. 45 mins later still no sign of the driver. When he finally arrived it was cold. We was very disappointed

The restaurant apologised and promised a voucher of the value of the meal, which was kind of a nice gesture..... We never saw this voucher.

So this being my last week in Darwin regardless of the previous f#*k up they made I thought I would give them another chance.

The order arrived at the time the app said, the driver was very polite. But my 5 items that i ordered only 1 was correct.

This time I've decided not to call and wait around all night I've counted this as a loss. But feel as if this is worth sharing.

Hopefully the restaurant will act on this and see this and improve as there standard is dropping...

We were so disappointed about the customer service that you guys provided us last night. Pick the restaurant as a best Indian food location in Darwin. While we celebrating our anniversary and my friend’s birthday.

We had to deal with rude customer service and an inappropriate attitude from the floor supervisor lady. There was no name tag to mention her name. But she tried to show that she is the in charge.

It's definitely not pleasant when staff members are disrespectful or argumentative towards customers. It's important for businesses to treat their customers with professionalism, courtesy, and respect.

Food was exceptional that’s the main reason we were there.

But staff disappointed us more than that.

Story began after we asked for an extra table to join the small table we sit. (Restaurant had so much space and only one family dined that time)

She might think we are Indian too. Would love to comeback and talk to the owners of the restaurant again.

We will never go back to our favourite indian restaurant again . And I will definitely tell my community about the bad experience we had.

Something happened to this restaurant .. it went from extremely good into WAY below average ... first bad experience was few months ago when I ordered butter chicken that lacked the flavour and consistency and tasted like chicken soup .. I made sure I provide feedback to give the owners the opportunity to improve.. few months later (one week ago) decided to try their food again .. I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala. Same exact issue ... lack of flavour and it didn't have enough sauce. The dish didn't look like a curry, it was more like chicken pieces, big chunks of capsicum and onion covered with a little bit of curry sauce. To make things worse the dish was swimming in oil .. I know Indian food can be a bit oily .. but it was so oily I managed to drain 2 table spoons of oil and there was some oil left in the dish !! I just...
