I ordered the big breakfast, which they call the full tank (good name).

There was a decent crowd sitting and enjoying their meals and coffee. Giving the Cafe a very pleasant atmosphere.

When the meal arrived, I was disappointed in the size of the meal as it was smaller than the last few times I had been there. Only a single slice of toast with a little butter.

There were 2 pieces of bacon, one of which was dry and chewy. The other was crunchy but still dry. Next to no bacon fat for flavour.

The eggs were very tasty and very fresh (which is the main reason I like coming to the tank).Though there was a bit of uncooked egg over the yolks.I personally prefer when the chef cooks this albumen (either steam the eggs in the pan with a bit of water or spoon some of the oil over the top of the egg).

The beans were good, as were the mushrooms and the potato rosti.

However, I was completely missing the vine ripened tomatos, but only realised halfway through the meal.

The other meals that came out looked quite good. I will be coming back and trying again. As I reckon this was just a one...

The ambiance of the place was appealing and enjoyable. The staff were friendly. However, I found the food somewhat underwhelming given the price point. We ordered the "unleaded tank”. It was a plate of tofu scramble, toast, smashed avocado, baked beans, potato rosti, button mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, haloumi, and beetroot relish. Among these, the haloumi, avocado, toast, rosti, and relish were good. However, the tofu scramble was a letdown, the portion was small, it tasted a bit stale with a noticeable lack of flavour. The baked beans had an odd metallic aftertaste that was off-putting, I couldn’t finish it. Additionally, the mushrooms and tomatoes had an excessive vinegar tang - making it almost inedible 🙁 My vegan friend paid the same price but did not get any substitute for the haloumi. I hate wasting food but unfortunately couldn’t eat all of it :(. I am hopeful this was an isolated incident and hopefully others have better...

Lovely Saturday morning. Decided to have a coffee with a friend at a place I frequent regularly. I ordered 2 mug coffees and didn't receive this order. Instead got a large and a small. Waiter offered to take it back but I said Id have it so not to waste it and have another that size to receive what I ordered originally . He came back with the response that Id have to pay extra! So felt I bit disgruntled as they had made a mistake with my order and were not willing to amend their mistake. Another small coffee free of charge would have prompted me to write a better...

In Alice Springs, it is a stylish cafe that is crowded with locals quietly on the outskirts of town. It's about 10 minutes by bicycle from the center, so it's a little hard to walk, but it's 200% worth it to stop by while walking. You can spend a relaxing time in the spacious space. If the weather is nice, try to choose a terrace seat instead of indoors! It feels so good to be warm!By the way, not only the essential coffee, but also the food is delicious, so it's perfect for brunch. The customer service is friendly and comfortable, so you will end up staying longer.

The Watertank Cafe is a unique business that provides an opportunity for customers to relax and enjoy coffee and/or a meal whilst enjoying a relaxing atmosphere. Sitting arrangements ensure that each customer has a choice of relaxing in a lounge, sitting at a dining table or simply reading a newspaper on a stool bar. The coffee is great, although expensive, and all meals can be ordered to both eat in and take away. There is also free wifi, a wheelchair accessible entrance and toilets available.
