Absolutely best pie in the known universe. I'm talking, heart-y! The plain meat pie is far from plain and it hits like a truck with its rich, dark gravy and melt-in-your-mouth meat. It must have a mix of mince and meat pieces, but when it's enshrouded in the most amazing and flakey pastry, you just never want it to end. That's why I buy a minimum of two at a time and I have been known to polish off a third if I'm honest. The cheese and bacon is also amazing but I would be happy if I only ever had the meat pie, like forever.
We come up from Vic on holidays and it's our first stop. While we are here we could comfortably have it nearly every day without a shred of disappointment and we make sure to tell our friends about it. Recently, we've been bringing some home for 'Ron and there have been no complaints.
The most impressive part of this story? The fact that they have been 100% consistent over the years which is exactly how you become as successful as they have been. Please please please, never change how you make them as they are simply the best!
Added bonus, there is a flat, grassed area adjacent to the shop and a couple baskets of picnic blankets with which you can lay out a blanky on the grass and picnic with your family and enjoy the...

I ended up trying the chicken curry and the red wine, mushroom, and beef pies. Both were bland, and the waitress recommended I try them with tomato sauce on top. I found this to be hilarious. If the pie is better with tomato sauce, then maybe they should incorporate tomato sauce into their pie fillings to manage the acidity and balance the flavours. I can make a much better pie at home.
As for the Portuguese custard tart, I didn't find it to be very fresh. It was also lacking flavour, flakiness, and the luscious burnt custard that you'd expect from a pasteis de nata.
I won't...

How can anyone miss the bakery? It has visible signage above the walkway and on the windows.
The bakery sells pies, cakes, beverages and coffee beans. I share with my friend a piece of carrot cake. The texture is soft, and I can taste the shreded carrot. The icing is not that sweet.
As a fussy pie lover, I try the chicken and mushroom pie. The overall size (height) is about the same as others, but has good amount of small bits of chicken and slices of mushroom. The chicken may suit many, but I find it "hard". The pastry can do with a bit more shortening to improve the texture.
I cannot comment on other products as I have not...
