Jax Bar & Chargrill — Restaurant in Perisher Valley

Ordering our food was pleasant, friendly, but more than a 20 minute wait for a toastie, that when collected (mind you the buzzer i was handed didnt buzz at all, they just called out my toastie from behind the bar) was only toasted on one side, and only hadtwo small slices of tomato, and no seasoning whatsoever. Just a pinch of salt would have made a difference. Sadly very underwhelming for a $15 toastie.

Only made better by the bbq sauce I added to it.

Paid for a $15 schooner just to be kicked out 30 seconds later (unable to have my drink), for showing a “fake ID”. I’m a 19 year old student with multiple forms of ID including drivers license, online licence, and passport, yet was still told this wasn’t enough. What am I meant to bring to a ski mountain? My birth certificate? Security guard had a power trip and clearly likes picking on young people in his pride and joy...

The only place in perisher you can get salad to complement your main. The food is not great by decent and you get what you expect. And there is live music, so you can listen and relax and stretch your feet after...
