Izakaya Potts — Restaurant in Pottsville

My friends and I visited Izakaya Potts last night our booking was for 6pm at 7pm we were given the bill we were still eating and drinking our wine 5 minutes later the attendant told us they needed the table I said we're still drinking our wine 10 minutes later they forceably asked us to leave as they had people waiting we hadn't even ordered dessert. They said they have a 90min booking we were not advised of this and it was 7:15pm that's 75min we did let them know of our dissatisfaction and said we could sit back down but the damage was done. My share was over $80 and as amazing the food was if I'm not given the time to enjoy it, what's the point. Have been to this restaurant many times and never before have I been treated like cattle get in hurry up and get out. This needs to be addressed or we won't ever be back. Probably the best Japanese meal you will try in the longest time!! We dined here last night, as well as about a month ago, and every time we are astonished with the quality of food, presentation, friendly staff and the malt beer there. Sadly each time we've dined, I've completely forgotten to take any photos of the meals, because they look so deliciously delectable we all dive in immediately! But that's okay, because I would like to go back asap, and each time we've dined in, we get a stamp towards our loyalty card. Three more visits (5 total), and you get a reward!!

The only criticism is the venue is small, so bookings fill up quite quickly, best to book in advance (and not the evening of, if you can help it), and the limited nights they were open - wish they would open more nights, and for...

Love this little Japanese eatery. Been in several times with friends. The food is always fresh and delicious. The food comes quick, also all at once which is quite overwhelming. The staff are friendly and courteous. If you book early you may be able to secure the outside tables which would be a lot quieter than the being seated inside which is loud if busy. We would appreciate that the staff try to cater to their patrons that would prefer to have some after dinner drinks to wind down their evening. As soon as you have finished your meal, the table is cleared and there is no offer from staff to enjoy a cocktail, martini or coffee. They are hovering to entice you to leave. We left just after 9.
