Was one of our favorite place to get coffee and cake when in Queensclif, unfortunately not anymore. The food and coffee in general is great there, but customer service need some improvement. Staff looks friendly except one blond lady who literally made me feel uncomfortable, unwelcomed and made me even cry after i was served. But honestly I don't think she even understood it or noticed. I was served actually before by her and now I can recall she was a bit abrupt the other day too. Should have taken a picture but don't want to gross people out. The pepper pie was not as bad but really, not hanging it on this place but have definitely had award winning pies from other places. Read moreTried the truffle mushroom , chicken as well as the prawn curry. The prawn curry one was really spicy, it also had vermicelli noodles inside which was a bit unexpected. The truffle mushroom was our favourite, very creamy and tasty filling.
For the “best pies in Australia” I expected to be wowed, but the pastry was very average, not flaky and tasted like store bought pie pastry. I do have to admit the truffle mushroom filling tasted incredible though.
