I wasn't going to write a review for you guys, but I figured that I absolutely should. This is more so regarding the service at the uni campus, but its the same ownership and management so here goes.
Firstly, Alowishus charge the most exorbitant prices for absolute sub par food and coffee. The coffees are never done right, they are either burnt or cold, and cost top dollar. The food is horrendous, the sandwiches are all stale and taste like they've been sitting in a container for a week. The food items that Alowishus offer (at a uni campus) where nobody has much money, is priced ridiculously. The healthy food is priced higher than the unhealthy food which is a big issue, especially when trying to promote people to eat well. I have discussed Alowishus extensively with my peers at the campus and we all say the same thing, and we have all pretty much boycotted alowishus due to the pricing and the quality, the quality being the main issue, and we pretty much reserve alowishus as a last resort of desperation.
Another issue that is something to talk about, is the extreme cycle of employees that has been seen. There have been a lot of staff who have worked for alowishus for some time that have up and left (without naming anybody), and clearly this is a reflection on management. I had heard a couple of little things here and there from some of the past staff.
The big issue here is the price to performance ratio. Consistency must be maintained at an affordable price. We can't come in here and spend 13 dollars as a uni student for a cold or burnt coffee and a stale sandwich. 13 dollars is a lot for a student!
Anyway I hope this email can maybe incite some change. It wouldn't take much for the overall improvement. Just remember, a uni campus isn't a place of prosperity. Drop the prices, and up the quality, and there will be a significant...

Read moreThe refec used to be a place to get together with fellow students for a coffee and lunch. Since Alowishus opened at the University everyone avoids it.
The menu is very limited and the food is over priced and bad quality. The sandwich’s are soggy, and the hot box items are tiny. Alowishus charge top prices for low quality food. I stopped drinking coffee from Alowishus a long time ago when every coffee I received was cold or burnt. This leaves my friends, class mates and I no other option but to leave uni and drive into town on lunch breaks to get a decent meal and cup of coffee.
This week with res school on and limited time between class breaks, my friends and I have had to go to the refec. With one staff member working, a huge queue, that staff member has been flat out with making coffees, that she could not serve people. We stood in line for 15 minutes, without her serving a single person, only to just buy a juice from the fridge. This left several of my fellow class mates late back to class. I ended up putting the juice back and getting drink from the vending machine. If you looked after your staff better and not run them off their feet maybe there wouldn’t be such a high staff turn around.
I will continue to avoid Alowishus at...
