One of the BEST and most affordable Wedding Venues Bundaberg has to offer!! Manager/Events Coordinator Shay goes above and beyond to make your event go as smooth and easy as possible!! The Burnett Riverside Function Room/s comes fully equipped with private entry, private amenities, private balcony, built-in plug & play audio system, it’s very own waitstaff Bar stocked with whatever you should choose also with the choice of running a tab or pay as you go via eftpos (this allows for more affordability). The room has beautiful polished timber floors accented by the warm white glow that comes from the gorgeous chandeliers that can be personally adjusted by a very conveniently positioned dimmer dial for just the right ambience for your event!! This beautiful room opens out onto a lovely intimate deck via full floor to ceiling glass concertina style doors that give a true alfresco vibe if you should so choose or keep them closed as the room is also serviced by ducted air conditioning!! The deck also comes equipped with dry bars and stools for an extra touch of elegance allowing guests the option of taking in the evening sunset that lights up the Burnett River in a way only a position like this one could lend…very uniquely beautiful!! I could go on and on but I’ll leave off now with pictures of the setup of our beautiful daughter and son-in-laws wedding reception…enjoy!! 😊

Booked the Penthouse - it’s definitely far from a Penthouse. Bed mattress is so soft you roll in the middle massive sink hole. Shower curtain? Why are this still a thing Balcony no outdoor furniture, you wouldn’t be able to put chairs out there cause you sit on top of the air con fan and blowers hot air. What ever that disgusting thing in the kitchen is that is holding the tea and coffee needs to be removed. See photos Bedroom window faces the road and get noise all night. Not sure why this room was not on the rover front, we have stayed in the other rooms before and had better views and wake up to the river. This whole place is so outdated. So disappointed that the Penthouse is not the best room or the best position in this hotel. 1 star for location - this is based on where our room was located on the road side.

Great location, rooms are massive. The beds are so comfortable, and the pillows are also good quality. The bathrooms, in particular the spa baths, need an upgrade. We got a riverside room and wow the views. Close to the city. Underground parking. We cancelled our other hotel for our return trip and have booked in here for another night. Sean/Shaun on reception is amazing. Friendly, helpful, and has local knowledge. The restaurant is next level food is tops and staff Kathy and the team are professional. Chef Zac has put together a banger of a menu. The food and drinks were top quality, as was the service and the view. Wow, just wow.

4/5 Have stayed here twice in the last year. On entering my room on the first visit I was quite disappointed with the balcony view of the tin roof but was very very pleased to be transferred immediately to another room with a lovelier view across the hallway at my request. The view made an absolute difference to my stay and the fact my wish was respected without hesitation made my decision to rebook when I revisited Bundaberg so much easier. My second visit was wonderful. Although I had upgraded since the first visit the view of the river was absolutely to die for and the spa bath.... OMG!!! Amazing. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable and well worth the extra money. The only qualm I had was the lack of and difficult access to powerpoints in the room. The most important powerpoint had to be accessed via crawling under the heavy desk and even then... 2 points does not suffice given I needed to recharge my laptop whilsts still requiring use of the microwave and kettle at the same time. The kettle in this instance had to be plugged into the bathroom.... which seemed to me a little unhygienic. This I believe needs to be addressed but on mentioning this to the receptionist at checkout she did advise they were planning to install a powerpoint gadget that will sit on the desk. Excellent idea because elder folk could find crawling under a desk rather difficult and thus affect their decision to rebook here. With that said.... I've rebooked again for later in the year and plan to take with me an extension lead and double adapter lol. There's always a way hee hee. Mossies were a tiny thing this second visit so perhaps keep this in mind and come prepared. Will have been a 5/5 if not for the powerpoint situation. Overall.... best place to stay outside of Bargara. PS The guy heading to clean my room on checkout was so friendly despite me letting him in a round about sort of way to expect a bit of a mess lol. Anyway... was a great stay. Highly recommend and if unhappy... stay something but be pleasant about it. Don't go away disappointed. I could have but saying something gave me a whole new experience and I could...

Fortunately I checked the room before unpacking. The smell of sewage coming up from the shower drain was nauseating and a glass had not been washed as there was sticky residue in the bottom. The young woman on reception was professional and treated me with respect. On letting her know, she quickly organised another room for me. Unbelievably it was worse than the first one. The sewage smell was not as bad but still notable, the room had not been cleaned properly. Sticky food/drink marks on the dining table, kitchenette bench and cupboards. Black greasy dust on tops of kitchen tiles and the fridge had not been wiped out. I was moved again and that room was passable. I had driven a long way and the price of the rooms would suggest a higher quality. The hotel is generally tired and in need of upkeep, carpets in hallways are thread bear in parts and the walls need repainting. The furniture is dated but also in poor condition with flaking varnish coming off timber. I don't mind old buildings and furniture but expect a high level of cleanliness particularly in the current environment (COVID). I was on a business trip and have stayed a few times over a number of years when working in Bundaberg but will now be looking for an alternative. I was glad I was only staying for 1...
