Whether it's a fun playdate for the kids, a family picnic or to listen to some music, Alexander Zoo Park is a fun and busy park in Bundaberg. On the farside is an undercover BBQ area with a few picnic tables. On rainy Sundays, you will see the town band there playing music and serving the community. Flowing this area, there are quite a few big shady trees to sit under for family picnics, and on sunny Sunday's the band will be under one of them playing music and serving the community. Then there are the park kids can play on multiple playground equipment and make friends. Near by is also more undercover picnic tables and reasonably clean public toilets. Following this is the zoo. I. The zoo you can see lizards snakes monkeys parrots kangaroos and emus as well as dingos. To wards the back of the area there is a walk path along the river. My family loved the...

Love this Park & it's a Lovely place to stop. Plenty of parking, easy access to take a breather along the Barnett River, take a walk around, visit the zoo animals, have lunch, a BBQ or Picinic undercover, tree's or not. Kid's play area, facilities available & wheelchair friendly. If your lucky you may be able to catch the Dingo brother & sister going for a walk with there zoo handler's and maybe a pat 😉

Zoo - Very clean and well maintained enclosures. Animals seemed happy and relaxed. The Park itself is beautiful and well kept for the most part (the old park section may be under contruction??) The jetty/river walk is also enjoyable. (& the trains going past on the bridge was a bonus for the kids)

A free zoo! Small but very nice! We could even pet the dingoos as they were having a walk with them. They have different kind of birds, reptiles, kangaroo's and wallabies, emu's, dingoos, one specie of little monkeys. And good information and very dediciated staff.
