Absolutely Unbelievable – Avoid This Place If You Like Basic Human Decency

If you’re into being spoken to like a nuisance, sneered at for simply asking a question, or generally made to feel like your presence is a massive inconvenience, then congratulations—you’ve found your dream venue.

The highlight of our visit was the female manager, who must have a black belt in rudeness. Her tone was cold enough to chill beer, and her attitude could sour milk. I’ve encountered grumpy staff before, but this was on another level—eye rolls, abrupt responses, and a complete disregard for basic courtesy. It takes a special kind of effort to make a pub feel hostile, but she managed it with ease.

The rest of the staff looked like they were just trying to survive her mood. Honestly, I feel bad for them.

No matter how good the food or drinks might be (and they weren’t anything special), no venue is worth being treated like you're a burden just for showing up.

After being advised that their “till error” had caused an anaphylactic reaction was simply offered a refund (which was not taken) on that Caesar salad and vouchers (as if I would risk dining here again). THEY WERE CLEARLY TOLD NO ANCHOVIES AND TO ADD CHICKEN DUE TO ALLERGY. Upon returning to the Anthill I asked for their manager’s details but was told that they didn’t have the details available and to give them mine (which usually gets filled in the bin). I highly recommend looking for a different venue to dine at. PISS POOR ALL ROUND

All up our order totalled $101 and came with a free side of dealing with an anaphylactic partner and absolutely no resolution from the manager (who was the one who put the order through).

Really nice people and love the outdoor dining area, but the steak .. the reason why we go to a steak house .. chewy, tough and no real flavour. And not nearly enough gravy even if it were a juicy tasty steak. Chips were great, fresh and nicely seasoned, salad was fresh and crisp but unimaginative .. same as we can get most anywhere. So no rave review I'm sorry. Was the steak at room temp before it got put on the grill? Try seasoning it liberally before frying and use real butter says my google search on how to cook a good steak.
