Loved everything about this club; we joined. The coffee, excellent! Other drinks, excellent! Breakfast, lunch and cakes all excellent. We had breakfast/brunch 3 days, dinner, salads, slices etc., all very good. Staff and service, very good to exceptional. The exception was the catered sit down 3 course dinner at our event. It was expensive but ordinary; bruschetta was soggy, main meals were either overcooked and too hard to eat (not sure even a steak knofe would have helped) and / or cold (fish) which my friend did not eat. Service was odd, clearing plates first, from last tables served, peculiar at best. Prawn entree seemed well liked. Dietary needs were not accomodated as 'booked'. Both desserts seemed well received, mine was lovely. Decor appropriate and very good, suitable for occasion. We know you were capable of so much better as we enjoyed everything else you provided for a full 5 days.

There are loud and ill rehearsed artists performing there and getting paid big money. Can you do an audit of management pay and bonus and review the Manager and the lack of training and support of His staff. Please also seek a health inspection by an independent experienced Health officer with international experience and training and who is mindful of accounting decrepancies Also licencing Human resources policies Staff performance evaluations Pest Control again by independent contractor Bias against popular performers Sound requirements Bullying of members Non compulsory check in policies Bad security and reception training Linked bias towards chronic gamlers instead of the community. Confused guidelines as to Golden/ Morning melodies A lack of live performances In short a Bligh that needs Police involvement and investigation concerns all matters immediately

Nice open, airy and clean space Service was satisfactory Meal was 'adequate' The lamb cutlets were tender and cooked 'ok', just a little over but not bad But they were flavourless - lacked a tasty marinading or good pre-serve seasoning Pizza was 'okay' The cheffing is average, and I wouldn't visit to eat here again - not because it was bad, but because it wasn't especially good and therefore not a sufficient value proposition Needs a bit more passion and up-skilling in the kitchen

Ive been to laterns several times and haven't had an issue with the buffet before but today was not a great experience we sat down for lunch at 1pm and were there until atleast 230pm. From the start the table and chairs we were assigned were dirty especially the chairs had food and rubbish on them then we went to get the buffet food and we're disappointed as nearly all of the trays were 3/4 empty and what was left looked old and dry and unappetizing so we were left with only a few options to choose from so we took those few and waited quite a while for the food to be replenished etc but that didnt happen in the hr half we were there so we went to get dessert and all we were left with there was half tray of old bread and butter and cupcakes ice cream and pancakes everything else was empty trays that looked like they had been there empty for quite some time judging by the remnants that were visible in the trays. We weren't asked if we wanted anything or acknowledged in anyway apart from to take plates away while at the table. The servers didn't even clean or take away the dirtiest chair that we actually set away from our table bcos of the state it was in, they just looked at it and walked away or walked around it. Never had these issues before but haven't been on a Sunday lunch time before either. Hope the next time we come this doesn't happen...

I recently had the pleasure of attending the APL "Dreams" Poker event hosted at Brothers Leagues Club on Sunday - I found the staff extremely attentive, friendly and eager to make all the players as comfortable and relaxed as possible during the competition. The club itself is beautiful and modern with spacious and large rooms which sets it apart from the typical claustrophobic and loud atmosphere of regular pubs and hotel venues. There are plenty of screens around to view whatever popular sporting event is on but doesn't impede the natural light and warmth to enter through the large windows to the outside environment. I've overheard numerous players comment positively about the comfort of the seats and chairs which makes sitting at a poker table bearable for hours at a time - in addition to the comfortable air-conditioning and climate control. Special shout-out to the affable Events Manager Brendan Dennis who is extremely personable and friendly and goes above and beyond to encourage and lead his event staff to ensure all visitors and members have a memorable and positive experience. His pleasant humour and forethought to anticipate the needs of the players is most welcome and it's easy to see that it rubs off on the wonderful staff who make this venue more than just a "building" - but a place that you feel like a...

The food was very ordinary. Some was overcooked. Dry bland cardboard. I had trouble finding anything that looked appetising. The prawns were flavourless. There were little kids running around the restaurant pushing toy trucks at great speed and squealing. Great if they were in a playground.not what I needed after a huge week at work. One kid banged into one of the waiters ankles with the toy truck and all they did was smile and hand the little brat their truck back. Off you go sweetie to annoy the rest of the customers. This went on for over an hour and the brain dead staff walked around like zombies and either didnt notice or didnt care. Probably the latter. I went to get dessert and the apple crumble was 99% crumble and 1% apple. I literally had to dig through 50mm of crumbs to find a few scant pieces of dried up apple.the pumps on the sauces for the desserts hardly work. I have been going to brothers for many years but this place has gone to hell in the last couple of years. It seems to get worse every time I visit and this was the last time i will go there. Not impressed as the price of the buffet is not cheap.Thats my opinion of the restaurant and the food and a friend of mine totally agreed with me. I WILL...
