Anticipating a delightful dining experience fueled by the promising reviews, I arrived at the restaurant for dinner, only to be greeted with a profound sense of disappointment. As I glanced at the dishes presented before me, it became evident that the reality starkly contrasted with the captivating imagery that had initially lured me in. The stark disparity between the visually enticing representations showcased on the website and in the reviews and the lackluster reality left me pondering whether a recent change in ownership or management might have led to an inadvertent shift in the overall quality and standards of the establishment.

Regrettably, one of the burgers served exhibited an unmistakable sign of neglect, with buns that appeared to have weathered time and lost their freshness, rendering them as hard as rocks. The promise of a succulent and flavorsome meal was soon replaced by a disheartening reality of dry, tasteless fare that failed to tantalize the senses. After a long day at work I thought to myself, I don't feel like cooking anything today, who am I kidding, I never feel like cooking. So I thought I'd have one of the best burgers around. I went in and asked for a steak burger, I had had the previous week. Though it was actually last weeks special and not on the menu (I was a little disappointed though thought what a great opportunity to try another fantastic burger), the cook kindly made it for my anyway, I drove home. My mouth was watering, I couldn't wait to get home and devour my delicious burger. Unfortunately Stupid me dropped my take away container in the garage as I got out of the car. I made a noise I've never made before, it was a wimper at the lost food, lying there all helpless. You may ask, did you leave it there? NO! I most certainly did not, 3 second rule right! After paying $22 for a burger and chips, I hastily picked it up and put it back together. No harm done. Sadly for me the chips (which are some of the best chips to ever pass my lips) were not salvageable. I ate that burger and it still tasted delicious. I'm sure next time I order something from Cairns Burger Cafe I will be more cafeful and not make the same mistakes I have made today. Go in and try one of their many budger's. The patty itself seemed bland. The sandwich could have benefited from more of every condiment except pickle, which was perfect. The size of the burger was perfect, although the portion of fries was light. I was checked in on halfway through the meal and the ordering process was great.
