Went here as this was the best price point KBBQ/Asian BBQ in Cairns. Meats were good for the price you pay for them, and the staff were very helpful catering to our requests! Only big complaint I have is that it seemed that there was some sort of smell in the outside seating area, not too sure from the plants or from bins on the streets, but definitely pungent enough to be noteworthy. Ambience for outside seating was quite basic but the decor in the interior seating was quite good (KBBQs only done on outside seating area). Did not realise it was also serving Japanese food as the theme in the shop seemed very Korean (dinner menu also seemed to be mostly Korean it seemed)

Soju and Beer prices were fairly basic and standard. Side dishes were also good for price point.

We went yesterday for dinner for the first time as it was a last minute plan and they accommodate us straight away.

The service is flawless, efficient and it doesn't take too long for the food to come as we requested to send whatever is ready.

We had chicken kaarage, spicy seafood tofu soup, kim chi pancakes, JapChae beef and grilled beef ribs.

Everything was flavourful and the kids enjoying their karrage and rice.

For us the highlights was those beef ribs.😋😋 it was marinated well, not too chewy and beautiful smoked aroma.😋😋

The portion and the price is good and affordable with the quality that they offered. The restaurant is family friendly, clean and enough table space to put all the plate without feeling too congested.

We are very happy and definitely coming back next time....

A Gem in Cairns. After a lengthy walk trying to find the right restaurant for myself, I ran out of energy and decided to choose via Google Maps the closest one to where I was standing. Goong’s was 200 metres away on the same street. Looked ok. Walked in & got a table right away (30min later patrons were being turned away). I knew I wanted the Chicken Katsu Curry with a small bowl of Miso soup. It was delicious, stronger curry than I normally have, but well worth the investment. Staff were around, attentive and friendly. Sometimes a last minute decision turns out to be the best decision all day. I hope to be back. Recommended: book your table esp for more than 2 people, as the dinner rush came on very quickly and some may miss out on this delightful...
