I phoned Captain Nemo's with a demand for a squid sandwich, making it clear I was in no mood to wait. The tone was set; I hinted at bringing my boot into play if my request wasn't taken seriously. The person on the line didn't flinch or falter, accepting my terms with a calmness that felt like a challenge.

They assured me my order would be ready, coins or any unusual payment method accepted, no questions asked. The readiness in their voice was a clear counter to my aggressive stance.

It was all great up until the rear end of it fell out into my lap. All the ingredients were held together like a slab of cement that just let go. There was too much mayo. Apart from that it was pretty tasty product was fresh from a precut bag. I think it would work better like subway. The attendants are clambering over each other and customers end up standing around instead of moving on out the door. Which what you need in a place that size. There is no where to really hang around as if you at a fish’n’chips shop from the mid 70’s. I think those little tweaks would make it...
