We visited this restaurant last Sunday for lunch and were extremely disappointed with the service. Most of the seating area is broken both inside and outside and is roped off or with signs. None of the tables were wiped down and were all dirty. There were multiple big spills on the ground at the soft drink machine. Despite the store not being too busy, and us being the only ones in line we had to wait at the counter for over 5 minutes before we were served. Once we were served, it was a solid 20+-minute wait for food, which is not ideal when we stopped in for a quick lunch before hitting the road again. My order was correct, by my friends was completely wrong. They gave her the wrong sized drink, and wrong sized fries which she brought to the staff members attention and was corrected. Â The burger was wrapped in a chicken wrapper, and she asked the server about this since she ordered a beef burger and was assured it was correct â which after getting back to the car she realised it was not the case. Despite this, both myself and my friend really enjoyed the food â it was great. Just appalling service which is a disappointment. There only appeared to be one staff member on customer service, and one in the kitchen which is clearly not sufficient for a restaurant this size. It appeared the owner or management were not willing to pay penalty rates on a Sunday, so just run massively understaffed, which delivers a poor experience for anyone visiting. From the moment I walked into Carlâs Jr Rockhampton, the atmosphere was tense. The guy who took my order had a horrible attitudeâhe barely looked at me, answered in a rude tone, and looked visibly annoyed the entire time. At one point, he even dropped a screen or device on the floor out of pure clumsiness.
While I waited (25 minutes for a simple order), I watched the staff argue loudly with each other, throwing insults back and forth. The manager eventually came out and started scolding everyone in front of customers, which only made the situation worse. The staff kept bickering behind the counterâit was chaos.
To top it all off, two people who ordered after me got their food first. When I finally got mine, one of the burgers was missing the meat patty entirely. Just the bun and toppings. Unbelievable.
The person who took my order kept avoiding eye contact the whole time like they knew theyâd messed up but didnât care.
As if that werenât enough, two out of the three bathrooms were out of service, so I was forced to use the womenâs toilet.
This place has a serious management and staff problem. There was a heavy, negative vibe in the air the entire time. I wouldnât recommend this Carlâs Jr to anyone under any circumstances. Save yourself the frustration and go literally...
   Read morei donât usually leave reviews on google but i need to heed warning to anyone who plans on getting any sort of food from here. i am so so disappointed with the quality and service of this location. i moved here from brisbane recently. was excited to hear that there was a location here, thought i may as well give it a go. and oh boy, was it an experience. firstly, lady at the front counter was quite impatient with our order. she was an older lady. my nephew was taking a while to decide what he wanted because heâs a four year old⌠they do that. and she was extremely rude and rushed me. we placed our order and waited. food took 35 minutes to come out to us. this would have been fine if they were having issues or were busy. but they werenât. there was nothing wrong with my burger, tasted the same as brissy. my sisters burger though⌠my god. the bun was covered in oil and sauce. the meat was dry and cold. the cheese had not even melted. onion rings were rock hard. she told me the bacon tasted old and off. and to finish things off. nephew was eating his tenders and halfway through we realised that they werenât cooked properly. who serves half raw chicken to a child? on a quiet day? what kind of business is being run here? sister and nephew are both now sick. tried to call the store to make a formal complaint...
