This has been my first negative review I’ve been bothered to write, and I’m saddened that it’s against the Brunswick. Been coming here for years and unfortunately the quality of food has been reducing while the prices have been increasing. Years ago the crumbed steak was $15, and now I have returned to see it is $30, along with a basic parmi. Unfortunately, there wasn’t even a chefs special menu - literally, it said ‘~nothing~’ on the board. Edit: Unfortunately, was just reminded by my partner that they don’t even bring the overpriced food to the table, and instead give you a buzzer to come get your food instead. Disappointing to say the least, I used to enjoy coming here, but, I cannot justify coming here over any of the other pubs found on every corner in Rockhampton. .

Stopped in on our way through Rockhampton. Nice place. Saturday night is definitely a popular place to eat with nearly full capacity tables and bookings. Food is reasonably priced and was met with thumbs up from the consumers. Service staff are friendly although are exceedingly busy, at times almost running around the tables.

Wait times for the food were not unreasonable given the capacity, though some coordination to ensure food arrived at the same time can help. Children's meals arrived almost 10 minutes before the adults. That can sometimes leave fussier children creating issues once they finish while adults eat.

Music was at a good level, not loud enough to disrupt but also not so quiet that it was lost in the background. Seems as though they have the ability for karaoke, and that's never a bad thing.

All up a better than...

If I could get zero stars they got that with flying colours. Unprofessional as hell. My parents went in with a thermometer and it was much colder then it was meant to as soon as it got to the table. Asked about it and they were rude as hell, didnt apologize, didnt heat it more, and said it was they were wrong even though they shown them the thermometer and said it wasnt the right one that should get used (it was). Unprofessional, cold and also when my partner and I went in they gave us a steak melt instead of a burger and salad and chips like we asked clearly and they casher repeated it. Then when we went back up to complain they said that is what we ordered. Disrespectful, whe used to bring family in and go in lots, with the new owners there is no hope. Never go there again, and I will be telling people not to either. Shut...

Worst meal I've had there. Prawn cous cous salad. The salad was not fit human for consumption and well past its used by date. How about live by the motto "if you wouldn't eat it yourself, don't serve it to your customers". The salad leaves were mixed in with the cous cous (maybe to camoflage the salad?) the edges of the salad leaves were discoloured and slimy on the edges and some of the spinach leaves were yellow. Surely you would have noticed this in the meal prep. I took what I hadn't eaten to the counter and politely informed that the salad was not edible and the response I received was ok thanks for that. I was just fobbed off, no apology. Won't be returning I can guarantee it. Have dined at the Brunswick for many years and have not faulted their meals...
