Emerald Thai Food — Restaurant in Queensland

Massamam beef curry: not given the chicken option like every other thai place. Very oily, fatty layer of oil over the beef broth watery meal. 3 peanuts inside and no creaminess. Sorry to say, but terrible. Green chicken curry: chicken broth style and very watery. Not the usual green curry flavour unfortunately. Coconut rice: had no coconut in it at all. Was plain rice. Price: up there. Maybe other meals are great, but these 2 curries were not.

Sorry to bad review, but have had a lot of thai food and will most likely not eat here again. Lovely...

I have long been a massive fan of Thai food, and have enjoyed exploring and seeking out delicious Thai flavours wherever I may be. I was delighted to eat THE YUMMIEST of any Tom Yum soup I have EVER eaten in the humble town of Emerald, at Emerald Thai food. The freshness, the succulence, the flavour! These guys are so generous... they even lent me a silver spoon to take away and allowed me to return it the next day. It's the little things that make a lasting impression. Thanks kindly...

Bustling little restaurant. Definitely recommend the fish cakes and the sauce that was served with them was amazing. Fish cake sauce saved the entire meal. The chicken curry was sadly so very salty, possibly too much fish sauce, but the prawn stirfry was nice with a good amount of prawns and fresh yummy vegetables.
