I have been eating at the Grafton on and off for many years. The 200gm $10.00 steak was what got us walking back in the door. The outdoor area is clean and tidy, if you are looking for quite then go indoors. Outdoor area is very loud if there are kids playing (acoustic's). Indoors is warm and welcoming with its old style charm. Most that are local would really connect to this. Maybe more of the local history and story could be displayed adding to the charm?. The menu is short and sweet, we choose the classics, steak, calamari, and Parmi. First visit we had the $10 steak 200gm that is such good value and the steak was AMAZING. Second visit the steak was a great taste,,, however a bit chewy. On both visits the food was cooked to order and the sides of salad and veggies were fresh and presented well. Staff very friendly and attentive. I could not fault the service well done Grafton on that. This place is on my list to go again,, it might be a bit hit and miss at times when it comes to steak, the family had Chicken Parmi and Calamari and the feedback was great. I really think with the quality of steak they are offering at such cheap prices that this place has the potential to hit the market and find GOLD ! Worth the visit, where else can you get a $10.00, 200 gm rump that in my opinion is up there in flavour on...
Read moreBig shout out for the Grafton. Food and service is always good. The new duty manager Annamarie is always friendly and makes sure we are all looked after. Lini one of the wait staff is always helpful and friendly. Great staff and service. There is a group of us that come in for dinner every Wednesday night. We have tried a few pubs and clubs over the years and I must say the duty manager at the Grafton knows we come in every Wednesday night and we always have a table booked for us. The food has always been good. And the prices are affordable. We have all been coming in for dinner every week for all of this year. Great service and food. Thank you and see you...
Read moreWent across the road to the Hambledon pub and was disgusted by the lack of service and belligerent attitude of staff. Being from NZ, and in Edmonton to work on my rental property, we ate and drank at local venues daily, for ten days, concluding that the most outstanding venue was the Grafton Hotel. Not only is the venue clean and welcoming, but staff are fantastic, and the food fabulous. Pricing is better than, or equivalent to, elsewhere, and the pizza deal is awesome. Nothing was too hard, and you are treated with genuinely warm welcome, the exact opposite to the “Hambo”. I highly recommend...
