What a selection of cakes & pies. I have visited a lot of different bakeries in my travels and I have to say Grant’s Cakes & Pies is right up at the top. When we arrived they were queued out the door, but that just give us more time to make our selection. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the cakes are oh so yummy & I wished we arrived at lunch time rather than morning tea, as the list of pies is not only amazing but also a little different. The best pies I've had. Fantastic pies and a wide range of them - I tried only 4 and all of them were superb. Can't wait till my next visit to Mount Isa to sample more of their delicious pies. The coffee was not drinkable - had to though it away. I tied a few cakes - they were ok. The shop is super popular and very busy with locals and travellers, not much left if you come after 12:30. This was everything expected from previous reviews. A pleasure to be experienced. The staff are incredibly professional, friendly and very helpful. My husband chose an inferno pie, which came with a warning from the lady serving us. He is currently bright red and licking his fingers.
