Burke & Wills Motel Mt Isa — Hotel in Mount Isa City

A massive thank you to the incredible Therese for making sure I had a lovely stay at the Burke and Wills Motel. It’s a lovely place with big rooms with lots of space and nice clean, well maintained facilities. The microwave, kettle, A/C all worked perfectly. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were great! The water pressure is fantastic! There is a bathtub!! The room was clean and tidy and the cleaning staff Margo and Nick did a brilliant job cleaning each day with a smile on their faces and some brilliant attention to detail - all the crumbs I dropped each day got vacuumed up and they definitely cleaned all the benches and counter each day! So good to come home to a clean room! Thanks guys! Therese was fantastic with her advice on local bits and pieces and how to get around and where to go. She’s a great manager and a great person. 3 of us were to stay here night of Tuesday 2nd August, booked and got booking number on 1st May for a 2 bedroom family room, as no single rooms left.||On evening of 26th July I googled and single rooms showed as being free for 2nd August so next morning I rang, only to be told no you dont have any booking with us and we are booked out so you wont be staying here.|| I said if I give you booking number can you check, was told No that wont help, we are full.||We ended up staying at the Outback Motel and very impressed with it, will stay there again if ever in Mt Isa.||Now for the odd thing, when I got home on August 12th there was an email from Burke & Wills Motel dated 30th July saying we look forward to seeing you on the 2nd August,||Twice I have emailed Burke & Willis back saying what happened and seeking an explanation, it is now 25th September and...

Burke and Wills Motel is located where you are central to everything. The amazing service starts from prior of arrival, then it continues when checking in, during and when you check out.... Theresa you have made stewart and myself feel very welcome since day 1 ... your pool is clean and lovely. Enjoyed every moment. Your cleaner's are very professional and work dam hard making sure all rooms are clean and ready to go. Stewart and i were in room 22 the very first time we came to Burke and Wills. Since then we had cone back and stayed in room 13. We will continue to come back to Burke and Wills Motel and i highly recommend anyone who wants to feel so welcome come and see for yourself how amazing this place and management and staff are..
