Well, well, well, if it isn't my favorite fast food joint - Hungry Jack's! The place where dreams go to die and customers are treated like royalty - if royalty were ignored and brushed off at every turn, that is.
It was absolutely delightful to visit Hungry Jack's today! I mean, who needs basic customer service skills, right?
I was positively thrilled to find that the two kids' meals I ordered had no toys. I mean, who wants their child to have fun and be entertained while they eat, am I right? And when I had the gall to go back to the drive-thru and complain, the staff was so helpful and attentive. "There are no toys available," they told me. When queried to know why wasn't I told when I ordered, I was given the best response: "I don't know". Thank you for your insightful and enlightening response.
But wait, it gets even better. When I asked the young girl at the window how to make a complaint, she looked at me like I had three heads and said, "I don't know." I'm starting to wonder if my expectations of training or complaint management procedures is entirely wrong in this day and age, and instead, society and millennials, who expect everything to be hand delivered to them, are now trained to say "I don't know" as the answer to everything. I should've asked them "what is the meaning of life?" Maybe their policy of saying "I don't know" would fit right in!
And the assistant manager I eventually spoke to? Well, he was just a gem. He was so disinterested and distracted that he couldn't even keep track of who the only person taking orders on drive thru at 4.30pm was or the girl who asked him to speak to me. Even better, he offers no resolution. But really, who needs attentive, engaged managers? And who needs to pay attention or show any sort of concern when you're dealing with customers, right? Who needs to provide the toys that come with kids' meals, or to train their staff in conflict management and complaint handling procedures?
And let's not forget the icing on the cake - having to explain to my 4yo boy that despite being promised a toy and cheeseburger for being so well behaved for a whole day - yeap that's right mums, a WHOLE DAY - that he wouldn't be getting one. Oh, the tears, the tantrums, the sheer disappointment! Who needs happy, well-behaved children when you can have miserable ones instead? Why should I be treating my child for good behaviour? Maybe that's the problem with kids these days, that regardless of being good or bad, rewards shouldn't be given.
So next time, I'll be sure to take my complaints inside the store, where I can truly showcase what happens when a toddler is upset so he can show those poor, helpless teenagers what a real tantrum looks like. After all, why should I settle for subpar service and an incomplete meal when my kid could just cause a scene instead?
The lesson in today? Where else can you go to experience such outstanding customer service and have your children's dreams crushed all in one place? Yeap, that's...
Read moreSorry to give one star rating here but I am really disappointed with the service the staff provides to the customers first of they should learn how to talk politely with customers not all of them are like that but there are some few staff members especially drive through staff are so rude and because of these people other member all has to listen no matter how good service they provide. Even if you pay online through hungry jacks app and when you go to collect the order in drive through they will ask you to wait in parking even if you go on quiet days and I know they just want to clear the que to show in the system that they are actually working fast but in reality they are not and please stop playing this kind of tricks on customers many a time staff dont even see what customer has ordered and when they give please make sure you get the item you have ordered because many a time you will find missing items like chips it happens to me many a times. sometimes not even giving fresh chips just the cold one which are supposed to go in a bin they will give it to you so at last my question is to manager that If they are getting paid please show them some respect towards customer service skills. There should be no waiting time after you placed an order through online and are not supposed to ask us to wait in parking area after placing order online if you are still doing so please close the drive through bcoz it doesnot mean anything thats the reason people choose drive through to get fast service than in store order. please stop making false ascuses that hungry jacks shack and win is not working or you have come in the store to redeem offer and bla bla its not mine homemade app its your so please provide the item to them. there are so many other things as well but thats enough hope you know atleast whats going on in your store. I am also a Hungry jacks customer as well as store member in brisbane but coming to bundy quite often so know all this things hope it will be...
Read moreHad to give one star just for the review. 7 pm abouts went thru drive thru ordered. Didn't have what we wanted so told to wait in bays at front .ok 15 min later he comes out .no sorry for wait or any words just puts it thru the window and walked off. I felt the chips in the bag and they were just like warm. In the meantime we watched an uber order sit on the front counter for 10.min until it was picked up! Not good enough. Our burgers wernt hot either I go in and ask for the order to be redone please. I was looked at by the staff then the shift manager who looked all of maybe 18/19 and she asked me what the whole order ? I said yes please I'm not paying what I did for cold food. ! So I asked why so long waiting ,was told they were waiting on onion rings. Really 15 min for onion rings? We never ordered onion rings soooooo? 10 min later I had a fairly hot order . Guys you need to pick up your game. Learn customer service! Doesn't matter ur age have some manners and hospitality training to deal with customers not looks and grunts. Too many Indians on that shift.one poor girl was working her backside off mopping all floors outside and then inside whilst 3 others were yapping to a young boy that came in on his scooter for ten min. Is that what you get paid for? Won't be going there ever again ,only travelling thru but many...
