Junction cafe — Restaurant in Queensland

First time I visited and was seated outside not one staff member asked if I wanted to order anything, when friends arrived one had ordered coffee inside, when it was brought to the table I was not even acknowledged...obviously this must be a Cafe you order and pay first.

I cannot say what the coffee or food was like, being new to the area I was unaware I was to order and pay first. One person I was with that ordered coffee obviously was a regular there as staff treated her nicely. I wasn't even acknowledged at the table, I have worked as a waitress myself, I always acknowledged all persons at the table and asked if everything was OK before I left that table. My first impression was that I didn't matter, maybe staff were only friendly to regulars or maybe the waitress was having a bad day. I am aware most people are saying the opposite to my comment which may be correct, I can only say how I felt on my first visit and that is that I must have been...

First visit.. worst impression. The food although being good, the service was absolutely terrible. They give you the opportunity to order and pay online. For the sake of your convenience and to be less of a burden to the staff you do. I made my order, besides food coming separately there was no cutlery at the table. All good, went to ask some, but the staff ignored me. Second time already when I went straight up to the bar finally was given something to eat with.

Mind you the food came before the drinks… why? In a cafe / restaurant should never happen. Once my partners food arrived, he did mention the fact that the drinks where still missing. But of course, the staff brushed it of and ignored the information. Well, our drinks never came and only when I asked for reimbursement (and they did reimburse) they suddenly were rushing to make them.

Honestly if online ordering is not your thing and you cannot cope with the requests through it, just...

I would like to express my gratitude to Mel for hosting our 1st wedding anniversary celebration at her delightful café restaurant over the weekend. Our close friends and family, who came from far and wide, had a memorable time thanks to the beautiful arrangements made by Mel and her team. I entrusted Mel with setting up the tables and decorations, and she did a wonderful job beyond our expectations. The food served was simply divine, and all of our guests had a fantastic experience.
