Land & Sea - Noosa Brewing Company — Restaurant in Queensland

This post isn't about the service of the serving staff (they did thier job and were pleasant enough about it)

We did an organised tour of locally made Gin around the Noosa area. The tour itself was great, of those places you could really see the people who cared about local business and toursim.

Land & Sea we collectively said was NOT one them.

We sat at a large reserved table (Obviously they knew a tour group was coming) and waited for someone/anyone to come over and go through their process and flavours. We did get some samples to try but that was basically the extent of it. No description, no background information, no time by any of the staff to come and sit with us to ask any questions.

What makes this a little more frustrating is the table directly next to us were 5 staff all chatting away easily hearing us as we them. Another patron sitting close could also hear and see what we were there for and made a point to say to the staff "Hey these guy's here know everything they work and make these Gins".

Not one of them was remotely interested in talking to us, they were far more interested in a box that arrived at least 40min after we did and it had some empty sample bottles from a distributor.

An absolute shame that they just didn't care enough.

We had visitors with us (we live in Noosa 28yrs) and it was actually embarrassing that our locals treat tourism like that.

We won't be back nor will we recommend this place to other's.

Not being spiteful but what exactly would we be...

This Brewery is in the middle of Noosa industrial area and has a very cool industrial vibe. There is both indoor and outdoor seating to suit all young or old. Fur babies were welcome to join in outside. Surrounded by vats and barrels with high ceilings helps create a fabulous atmosphere it is a great place to come with family or friends for lunch dinner or just a couple of drinks. . Today we were just calling in to check it out. We tried the Lager it was cold and tasty and a share bowl of good chips. The menu is limited but they do put on special events like taco Tuesday’s. The bar has lots of choices including signature cocktails and spirits as well as their brews. There is also live entertainment on weekends and certain nights but you have to be quick to get in as it is booked out fast. Being locals in Noosa, we know all the restaurants and clubs in the area but found we lacked a really good local bar and cool place to hang out. The team at land and sea have truly hit the mark with they're awesome creation. With a calm, groovy atmosphere, it has a great bar menu, wide selection of beer, spirits and wine etc and of course, the set up is pretty spectacular. However, as awesome as everything is, I can't go past the totally wicked Brewer, Shane. A really funky dude who is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about brewing only the greatest beer in Noosa. He is there to answer any questions and have a good ol chat. The brewing tanks are set up right in the restaurant so you see exactly where the magic happens and where your pint of liquid gold has come from.
