McDonald's — Restaurant in Queensland

This McDonald’s has been almost a second home for me on my holiday in Mackay. I appreciate the air con, excellent staff, prompt service, fresh food and clean environment. Their toilets are always immaculate and smell fantastic. The meals are always prompt and the food is hot. Their Big Macs are some of the best and its a stopping point for me most days to get an ice cream cone with a Flake. 👌😊 The team are warm and hardworking. Many visits I have seen the team out cleaning tables, wiping down chairs and doing a general tidy up. One of the cleanest McDonald’s I’ve been to. The access to free Wi-fi is also excellent. That too has helped me immensely. I’ve watched the team Steve other customers and they always speak politely and with manners. I use the Maccas app on my iPhone and of late have had some trouble paying(only due to the fact that I actually cancelled my bank card because I lost it! Nothing at all to do with Maccas or their app, completely my fault!😶) The team were patient and respectful through my frustration at myself. The recommendations I have are that McDonald’s in general provide more bins outdoors and that Mackay provide more spots for people to lock up their bikes!! Looking around I noticed for a beach town with many push bikes 🚴 there are not sufficient facilities to lock up your bikes....

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Honestly the worst experience I've had with ordering food in my life. Ordered online and they messed up the toppings on two burgers and forgot another entire burger. I am a broke backpacker and we wanted to treat ourselves to McDonald's and had to put up with this absolute incompetence. How someone could be so terrible at a simple job is beyond me. I rang to get the burger dropped out and a lady was so rude on the phone telling us we'd to come collect it even though it was their mistake and I hadn't received the food I paid for. The woman offered no help and told me to take the issue up with menulog. She basically wanted me off the phone as fast as possible and didn't want to help me at all. It ruined the entire order. McDonald's should close this place down as they have got an absolutely incompetent workforce here and it ruins the entire brand. The entire order was 84 dollars and I want my money back. If you want McDonald's DO...

Unsure what's happening at this location but the service, cleanliness and overall experience is abysmal. Came in this afternoon and ordered a crunchy Sunday and a chocolate soft serve for the kids. After 15 minutes I had to go ask the desk what was going on. They then spend a few minutes figuring out where the order is and come back and hand me the wrong mcflurry. I then question that I didn't get what I ordered, the manager then walks over and says we don't do crunchy anymore you can only have biscoff. Well if you don't do crunchy anymore why the hell can I still order it? No offer to change it or attempt to even rectify in some way turns and walks away. Bins all overflowing with rubbish, floors filthy, kids playground door is blocked by a bin with no sign saying it's out of order or why it's closed. Toilets are filthy. Honestly whoever owns this...
