Mum's Charcoal & Grill — Restaurant in Queensland

Visited for the first time today to buy some early dinner for the family. We had read the excellent reviews and were intrigued by the various salad options.

Upon arrival, we were served by a very friendly and professional gent. We opted for the Family Meal Deal which gave us a whole chicken (conveniently cut into quarters or eighths if desired), a large serving of chips (huge) and a large salad. We selected the pumpkin, beetroot and feta salad and, to top up the meal, ordered an additional honey mustard vegetable salad.

Every aspect of the meal was good. The chips were great and the salads were excellent. They were loaded with large chunks of vegetables (pumpkin, carrot, potato, beetroot) and quite tasty. If anything, the chicken was a little dry but still flavoursome and enjoyed by all.

In store, I saw plenty of other meal options available, ranging from curry to lasagne and more.

Overall, I was impressed with the service and the meal was more than sufficient. We're not a huge takeaway family so, at worst, I would return for the salad options. There were about 7 or 8 in the selection so definitely a few...

Travelling up from Brisbane and needing to organise a pop up lunch for my Hervey Bay customer. I was lucky that I was suggested to try Mum's Charcoal & Grill. Easy communication with the charcoal team and a menu was created. A couple of chopped up chooks and half kilo of pork with cracking. Delicious salads with the absolute standout being the lemon grass chicken salad. I was so impressed with the communication, suggestions, ordering and arriving to an order ready to go. I was craving for pasta and this place came up on gmaps with all reviews saying it tastes like “homemade” aussie mum food. Give it a try and can say their CHICKEN MUSHROOM PASTA is a top notch!!!! Especially combined with pork roast and cheesy potato. Omg!!! I got the last plate of the mushroom pasta and couldn’t even get more because it was sold out 😭😭😭

The staff was so friendly, i asked for a lil bit more pork crackling and he gave it to us cause my bf & me really like pork crackling 🤤
