Pachamama by Crystalbrook — Restaurant in Queensland

A Monday evening elsewhere might have been rather mundane, but Pachamama produced a vibe like no other. We were immediately greeted by the lovely Rocio who guided us in choosing an incredible three course menu which not only boasted some of the best Latin-American flavours that have graced my taste buds, but left my bank account smiling also. Full compliments to the Chefs for the food coma I now lie in. The sweet and spicy Mango-Chilli “Hot Lips” Margarita is an absolute must and the Cassava chips with smoky mayonnaise leave you scraping the bowl. Our dining experience was elevated by some very vibey techno-dance music. The overall atmosphere was vibrant and electric and after two cocktails I had forgotten it was a Monday… Alas! I wish I were not here on business. One must not leave the premises without devouring the churros and caramel butter, the waistline can take it after a sweaty battle down the esplanade tomorrow morning. Nice atmosphere, food is extremely overpriced for the quality and service is poor.

Staff arnt overly welcoming and make you feel like any request is an inconvenience.

Food quaintly isn’t great, we ordered the brisket taco. Found the meat was dry and the taco was very oily, at the price we paid it definitely isn’t worth it.

To make things worse, they forgot our order and we had to wait an hour before we got the food.

Staff also were rude when we asked if we could order an off the menu cocktail. It’s understandable that the request would be turned down, but there is a clear lack of tack when handling a response as it came across rude and hostile.

There are many better restaurants in cairns that offer similar dishes, I would not recommend coming here unless you want the atmosphere and intend on drinking...

Came here while on a short holiday by myself. Not much to choose from on the menu for anyone dining alone, most of the menu is catered towards groups of people which was disappointing. The entres I ordered were tasty however. Staff were friendly and kept a good balance between being attentive to me while still giving me space. Atmosphere was attractive to look at with a nice latin music playlist. Indoor dining area was booked for an event, the only space available was outdoor dining which looks great but has no covering and it started raining suddenly while I was there and had nowhere to go and sit to stay dry. Ended up standing around the bar. This place would be great to come to with some friends I'm sure. And on a sunny day. But very disappointing that they don't provide any rain cover for the outdoor...
