I recently had the distinct displeasure of visiting the Subway located at [Subway Address], and let me tell you, it was an utter nightmare from start to finish. If I could give this place zero stars, I would, because even one star feels like a gross overstatement of the abomination I endured.
First off, walking into this Subway was like stepping into a time machine set to the year 1995, and not in a nostalgic way. The decor was drab, outdated, and looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the Clinton administration. The floors were sticky, and there was a peculiar odor that I can only describe as a mix of old gym socks and rotting lettuce.
The staff, if you can call them that, were about as enthusiastic and friendly as a pack of rabid hyenas. The so-called "sandwich artists" moved at the speed of a sloth on sedatives and had the customer service skills of a brick wall. Not a single smile, greeting, or even acknowledgment of my existence until I practically begged for service.
Now, let's talk about the food—or what passes for food at this Subway. The bread was stale and crumbly, clearly having spent way too much time in a freezer before being unceremoniously defrosted. The meat looked like it had been sitting out for days, with a slimy, off-putting sheen that made me question my life choices. The vegetables were wilted and lifeless, adding a sad crunch to an already miserable sandwich.
When I finally got my order, the sandwich was a soggy, unevenly distributed mess. They might as well have thrown the ingredients at the bread from across the room for how poorly it was assembled. To add insult to injury, the condiments were practically non-existent, as if they were rationing mustard and mayo like it was the apocalypse.
And let's not forget the drink situation. The soda fountain was a breeding ground for bacteria, with sticky residue on every surface and a disconcerting lack of ice. The iced tea tasted like it had been brewed sometime in the last century, and the so-called "fresh" lemonade was more like lemon-flavored water.
To top off this disastrous experience, the bathroom was a horror show. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, with overflowing trash cans, toilet paper strewn everywhere, and a smell that made me gag. I wouldn't wish using that restroom on my worst enemy.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a place to ruin your appetite and your day, look no further than Subway at [Subway Address]. This place is a prime example of how to do everything wrong in the food industry. Save yourself the trouble and go literally anywhere else. You've been warned.

Read moreNicole did was left by herself on a night that had about 80 students come in( both High-school and primary) . She was there serving by herself with no help as the line was growing. She was seen in tears. This is absolutely discusting and nicole seems underaged. This is absolutely unacceptable to leave a young girl alone with this growing rush, to manage and serve. It was then made aware that the system was down and that she was counting up orders in her head. Three students from a different school who i was told were old subway workers were help counting up orders and trying to get the computer working again. They eventually got it working. There was no manager in sight and no other workers, until a young boy walked out from the back and then left. He did nothing during the whole rush. I cannot stress how absolutely amazing this wonderful worker did at managing this rush. The manager needs to step up and come in if this happens again. Awful behaviour from...
Read moreMy son has Coeliac disease and I requested that they make a gluten free wrap for him out the back. The staff member replied “we arnt licensed for that, cuz we cook bread in here”. I said “yes I know, all I am asking you to do is make his wrap on a clean bench out the back and use your stock/salads from the back fridge (this lowers the risk of cross contamination significantly) and she said “that would take me a really long time”. The store was not busy and there were 3 staff members on…
It’s never been a problem at the countless Subway’s in Adelaide who have been more than happy to prepare food safely for my son over the years. My teen daughter also works at a Subway store and they regularly take precautions like this for customers who have Coeliac disease or other allergy’s.
Safe to say we spent our money elsewhere for our family of 6, half of us were planning...
