The Coffee Club Café - Hervey Bay — Restaurant in Queensland

This review is for the cashier who took the order. This was about 11am today. After waiting for 5 minutes in line i found out why. The inability to adapt to the customers way of ordering and constant reliance on paraphrasing the menu and confusing order requests were the reason for delays. The service and speed of food weren't the reason. The poor old lady ahead of me asked if she could have a toasted sandwhich which got confused and turned into a 3 minute order. At one point ham,cheese and tomato on toast got questioned as do you want ham cheese and tomato on the side or on the toast? Poor old lady was made to feel stupid. Anyway i started by ordering scrambled eggs on toast and was hastily paraphrased with so you want eggs on toast that are scrambled? I said yes, Scrambled Eggs on White Toast. I then asked for a 2nd plate of Scrambled Eggs on Cibiatta with additional tomato relish. Again she said so you want eggs on toast. What toast? I repeated order again. I then said look, i will order each plate( there were 3 of us) in order and it should be clear what im asking for.

The issue was there was such direct urgency but it was slowing down the process and she was confusing people. It seemed she must of assumed that everyone should order from menu as its written.

Didnt expect this from a mature lady of similar age to me.

The food was nice but the requests i made on my plate were ignored.

Most people in service at a cafe will respond with "thats a good choice", upsell options or allow the order to flow. Not this employee. Made it difficult to order and it...

Great coffee, not all Coffee Clubs are equal.

We visited this Coffee Club today for the first time, and the staff were very friendly and pleasant to deal with. The service was very good, and the coffee was excellent, we are full-time travellers and live in our motorhome full-time, we always go to a Coffee Club if there is one near where we are staying.

We find the quality of the coffee, food and service varies dramatically, this store is a five star business, the only reason we didn't give it five stars for atmosphere is its in a shopping centre, but they can't do much about that, if it was on the waterfront it would be a destination for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week....

I am a regular at the coffee club Eli Waters, My friend and I go there almost everyday. It shocks me to read a review that paints an entirely different picture..someone has waited 30 mins for a coffee. Very Unusual.The staff are hardworking, lovely and service is efficient which is exactly why its our favourite place to go. We order at the counter and our coffee is delivered only minutes later.
