Toowoomba Fish Depot — Restaurant in Queensland

I have been ordering through Toowoomba fish depot for years. But I stopped ordering for a while because it became very oily. However then it changed management and OMG the quality of food now is so good. Seriously so good. (2024/25) The last time I made my order I asked if they had a Greek salad available with my order but they were out, the gentleman on the phone said it’s ok I will make it myself! 😳 ❤️ He really did make it, it was beautiful and I can’t explain enough how the battered fish is so fresh, I mean you can’t taste any oil. Fish and chips isn't a mainstay of my diet, but I must say I've been visiting here once a week during the past month for lunch at work.

Conveniently located at Red Edge (about a 5 minute walk from work). A rather humble shop that has pleasantly surprised me with their consistent product and service.

Im still dreaming about the incredible fish and chips I devoured at The Dish Depot .The fish was cooked to perfection, with a crispy, golden batter that gave way to tender, flaky flesh. The chips were cooked to a perfect crisp, with just the right amount of salt . The portion was generous, to say the least ,I left feeling full but not greasy, which is a testament to the quality of the ingredients and the care with which they're prepared.
