For 3 years now I have been buying seafood here 2-3 times a month. And I have told others in the community about this business. Today you were extra busy which is understandable that you might be under the pump. Instead of doing what you can do with good service, it changed to tossing things around and half wrapping customers seafood. The lady in front of me asked if she can have 2 dozen oysters at $29.50 a dozen. She asked if she can have 2 kilos of green prawns at $17 a kilo and you said maybe, that's all I have. When you pulled another tray out. She asked if she can have them in 2 separate kilo bags and you said no, that you are too busy. You tossed this bag around and half *ss wrapped it. She grabbed a lemon at $1.50 and you charged her $103. She looked so distressed and wasn't going to say anything but you can tell she wasn't happy. I straight away seen you over charged her. Then you serve me and ask if I'm from south America, which is way off. But I can tell you were under the pump. I told you north America. I asked for a kilo of cooked prawns at $32.50 a kilo. You better wrapped it but maybe because that was just a kilo bag like the other lady wanted. And you over charged me $5 at $37.57. Other customers were looking at me if I was going to say something. Sometimes it's easier to let things go. But when I walked outside and seen the lady that was in front of me clearly unhappy. I asked her if she got over charged. Which she said i believe I did. I can tell she didn't want to say anything. But I told her I would go in with her. When we came back in you were confused, I understand you are busy. You asked her to bring the prawns in so you can check them again. When she went to her car, I told you that you over charged me too but I'm not fussing over it. But said that you should probably slow it down a knotch. I wasn't trying to insult you but it was more constructive criticism. I understand times can get busy. I've been in that situation too. But your reply back is this is not America mate, that's not how things work here in Australia. Where I replied that I have never had service like this before here. I have a feeling the service provided today is not what Australian's would want as a representation of Australian Customer Service. That's as bad as Raygun representing Australia in breakdancing. By the way I'm a citizen, and I have probably been here longer than you are old. Not sure if getting off topic is a great way to fix a problem. When she came back with the prawns, you ripped a hole in the bag and realized it was green prawns. You went back on the till and gave her $7 back, it was supposed to be $8.50 but atleast you did give her money back. I didn't worry about my extra charge. But when I carried her bag of prawns out I was stairing at this big hole in her bag of prawns. So i gave her a bag out of my car so she doesn't have prawn juice dripped all over her car.    Read moreThis is always our first stop when we come to Hervey Bay. As usual it did not disappoint I received amazing service from an extremely knowledgeable and polite young man. The store had a combination of regulars that he served by name and visitors passing through like my self. He served me with the same enthusiasm and attention to detail as the locals. When it came to my turn I was pondering over what local prawns 🍤 I should purchase. I was only intending to purchase 1/2 a kilo. Until he suggested that I try one of each to decide. Both were AMAZING 🤩 thinking the first was the best then the second one was even better. So by that smart action by him I had to purchase 1 kilo.    Read moreAdvertised as “fresh and local” but it’s more like frozen and imported… I counted 1 local item on display… and if you’re looking for any sort of customer service prepare for disappointment with phrases like “come on guys, I’ve got other people to serve” and “time’s up, I have work to do”.
I definitely won’t be back here and I’d suggest you can find better quality product with much better service elsewhere...
