Urban Habit — Restaurant in Queensland

My recent lunch experience left much to be desired. I ordered the Veggie fritters with a side of hash brown and pineapple juice. Out of everything, the pineapple juice stood out as the highlight.

However, the meal itself was disappointing. The veggie fritters were soggy and lacked the promised amount of vegetables. The plate seemed to be assembled hastily with an excessive amount of tomato sauce and avocado, accompanied by a small egg, soggy haloumi, and what was meant to be two veggie fritters. The hash browns were more like deep-fried potato clumps, far from what one would expect.

My prior visits to this establishment have yielded similarly lackluster experiences with the food quality. It's a far cry from the reasonable standard set by the previous owners back in 2010.

What's even more concerning is the lack of attention to customer needs. When I asked for a high chair, I was directed to the food court to find one. Additionally, requesting tap water was met with an offer to purchase bottled water.

Look food and coffee are regular. Nothing authentic. Used frozen thawed chicken for my salad. Tasted bland. But the kitchen blonde woman, quite frankly not very experienced in customer service, she refused me and our toddler a regular cup of tap water. Pointed out expensive bottled water. You’ve done an illegal offence to the basic right to water. Change your policy and we might reconsider. I never normally write reviews and I wish I had checked reviews first for this cafe. Very long wait on food and then found human hair on my plate, total turnoff. Plate taken back and more bacon cooked but the rest of the dish was served to me in the meantime and then I had to wait another 10minutes for the bacon. Hubby's meal missing the bacon and tomato on his BLT. No tap water on offer is crazy. Every other cafe we have visited still offers this.
