Thai Coins — Restaurant in Westcourt

Where is Original Thai Coin???? I had dinners today with my husband. OMG. WHAT A ATTITUDE !!!!! The woman as a waitress, she ruined our mood completely. Too rude to say, there was no eye contact. Also, the food.... um..... We hadn't finished almost. We ordered pad thai and stir chilly chicken. We've been always finished all in ANY thai restaurant. It was first time we didn't finished our meals.

It was worst of worst experience in Cairns. I'm not usually posting like this. But I decided I have to say something.

I never ever recommend this place. Never!!! And I would like to say to all my local friends.

... perhaps the great reviews for this restaurant are from people who have not tried other local options, or just just used to fast food.

We were unfortunately reccomended this restaurant by a friend. Real friends dont reccomend places like this to their friends. Im sure some venues have more dingy dining areas - ive just not found them in Aus yet. As if planned to match the falling apart decor and strangely (bad) smelling room, the overpriced food came out in quite small portions, with dubious taste, and rather strange textures.

As a regular enjoyer of Thai cusine, this is truly something else. Im just not sure exactly what yet.

This review is rather generous at 1*. Ive been referred to thai coins by several friends. They are no longer considered friends (you know who you are). We tried TC as our favourite Thai was closed. A servo pie would have been a finer dining choice.

Dishes were all clumsily presented, with strange tastes and irregular textures (no stranger to Thai cuisine). The dirty-dusty dining room was depressing and plain nasty. Pricing was above average locally for dishes - despite their poor taste & presentation.

The only positive here was it being licensed, and the ability to thusly drown away the bad taste. Order your drinks early, as the service is as slow as the...
