AVOID, MOULDY FOOD BEING SOLD TO CUSTOMERS, MASSIVE HEALTH HAZARD! This was my first time visiting this deli and left not even 2 mins after entering because there was mouldy cheese on display for sale, which is beyond disgusting and a gross mishandling of food safety practices. Edit because the owner is delusional: The presence of MOULD on food you are selling to people is not a ‘matter of perception or preference’. I’m seriously concerned what your storeroom looks like if you think this is ‘ripe’ and safe. It is plain dangerous and unacceptable to offer to sell to people. If you made the mistake to put it back you could make the mistake to sell it and that could kill someone or make them seriously ill. Mouldy dairy is neurotoxic and very dangerous to consume and store next to other food items. There is simply no excuse for this kind of ‘mistake’. By your response it isn’t a mistake because you obviously genuinely believe this is safe to sell calling it a ‘matter of preference’. Your attitude is disgusting and shows it was no accident. You are now not only lying to your customers but are grossly negligent and have a clear lack of concern for food safety and your customers wellbeing. The owners response here should tell you to AVOID AT ALL COST unless you are interested in winning an easy lawsuit against them. I give anyone permission in advance to use this against them if you are a victim of this nonsense. It’s a matter of time before they’re sued, fined or shut down. Posting the owners initial response below in case they edit it to back-peddle: “Good Afternoon Ella, Thank you so much for drawing this to my attention. This cheese had been put aside for my disposal but inadvertently found its way back into the cabinet. I do agree that it is not apertising and should not have been displayed at all. We take pride in our high standards of hygiene and assure you that this was a genuine error. The cheese is ripe and and perhaps too ripe for many people. It is however not in any way a health risk, purely a matter of perception. I do thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. Kind regards, Karsten Wendland Managing Partner”

We adventured here for a delightful breakfast. Fuelled on the promise of the other great reviews. Upon entry we were made to feel welcome whilst our senses were bombarded with the smell of fine food and coffee. We ordered just that, with a flat white and a plate of bacon and eggs. The coffee arrived to our chosen seating place rather promptly and it was such a warm surprise to find it was actually decently made. If you enjoy a coffee that actually has a thick warm crema, freshly ground beans and served at the right temperature then this is the place for you. The fluffy crema of the coffee would have to be the best I have found so far in Toowoomba. The main course soon arrived and was well presented. The eggs were fried to perfection and the yoke was still runny. Exactly how I like them. The bacon was a little on the salty side but did not take away from the care shown to cook them in a way that left them crispy yet soft at the same time. The bread was fresh and garnished with some lovely dill. It tasted so good I had eaten half of it when I realised I had forgotten to take a photo. Overall I would recommend this cafe for anyone that would like a moderately busy place with exceptional coffee and food. This place also serves a variety of hand made cheeses and an assortment of jars with pickles, jams and sauces.

We ordered several coffees and bacon and egg rolls and whilst it took a while to get our complete order, it was worth the wait. Good coffee and the tastiest bacon and egg rolls we’ve ever had. You can order ahead if you have an order like ours but then you would miss checking out the amazing range of cheese, baked goods and deli products. Plenty of parking and it seemed like a really popular place with people dining in as well as picking up takeaways. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful, wish we had something like this in our local area.

After last week I rate 2star. Their owner contact me and sincerely apologize. I rate 4 star now because they do care about their business.

Last Friday: Our first time here for breaky. We standard in front of the QR code sign waiting to be seated while scanning the code. No staff noticed us. it's understandable since everyone looked so busy, but can't help to feel ignored. People behind us apparently not first time here, because she walked pass us towards the counter not even bother to do the scan thing. Are we the only person think this scanning thing isn't a decoration? Well, we seated ourselves eventually.

The lady said there was no Beagle that I wanted to order on the menu but will serve Sourdough instead. In the end it's 2 piece of white toast on my plate. On my partner's plate, there's not cooked enough egg with watery egg white.

The gentleman served us was nice n good service. He's the reason why I rate 2star instead of 1. Thank U. Sorry to said that, but it's hard to let us wanna...
