The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is one of Australia’s most beautiful and celebrated festivals, and it truly lives up to its reputation. Every September, the Garden City bursts into color with breathtaking floral displays, parades, and community events that attract visitors from across the country. The atmosphere is vibrant and festive, with gardens like Queens Park and Laurel Bank Park transformed into stunning showcases of creativity and horticultural skill.

Beyond the flowers, the festival offers so much more—live entertainment, markets, food and wine experiences, and family-friendly activities that make it enjoyable for all ages. The Grand Parade is always a highlight, filling the streets with music, costumes, and floats, while the illuminated night events add a magical touch.

What makes the Carnival special is the combination of natural beauty, community spirit, and cultural celebration. Whether you’re a flower lover, a foodie, or just looking for a lively and colorful experience, the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is an unmissable event that perfectly reflects the...

We had a lovely day at the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers and rode on the family float for international bedwetting awareness. After camping overnight at Jolly Swagman caravan park and airing our mattresses and soaking our bed linen, we donned our super slim body contoured incontinence pants under our Levi 501's, pulled on our ugg boots and off we went for a day of family fun and closely monitored personal hygiene. We much preferred The Carnival of Flowers to the Mardi Gras where we were mocked and ridiculed and sworn at by drunken crack smoking louts who even had the audacity to moon and exhibit themselves to us. We filmed this disturbing and traumatic experience and have reported the perpetrators to the Federal Police who promised us that the offenders and their families would be investigated for drugs and possibly deported if they were found to be...

The Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers is a beautiful and lively spring festival that draws huge crowds to the city each year. The floral displays in Queens Park and Laurel Bank Park are the highlight and truly worth seeing, but the event can get very busy, especially on parade weekends, making parking and moving around a bit of a challenge. Many activities are free and family-friendly, though some of the premium events can feel overpriced. While regular visitors say parts of the program don’t change much year to year, it still delivers a great mix of gardens, food, and entertainment, making it a memorable day out if you plan ahead and don’t mind the crowds.
