We stayed in the motel part of the hotel, we checked in late as had a 3 hour drive after finishing work. The room we received was the last room they had, it didn't have a parking spot assigned for it, had to park outside Dan Murphy, we dealt with that. On entering the room there was damage to the cupboard door, toilet was not cleaned properly and there was a sopping wet patch near the fridge which we reported straight away to the night manager. He came and had a look at the issues and noted it down. We received a free round for the next day at the bar and an apology from the night manager which was great and the ONLY reason this review is more than 2 stars.
The biggest issue was the next morning when my wife returned to pay for our two nights stay and spoke to the head receptionist. She came to the room and insinuated that we did the wet patch and that their cleaner always is thorough and that we were lying about the state of the room despite the night manager visually inspecting it the previous night.
My wife took it to the head manager that straight away went to defending his receptionist saying we were hearing things and that she didn't insinuate anything despite us trying to explain exactly how it was said and the look we were given.
Sorry for the long winded review.
We will personally NEVER stay here again, the room can be forgiven for 125 per night, but when we did the right thing and reported the issues immediately only to be told we were responsible is unacceptable behaviour from their management.
Beds/linen were clean and comfortable enough if anyone gets to this point...
Read moreWilsonton Hotel; is in a great location with only a $6.00 taxi fare to the St Andrew’s Hospital, so Great for visiting family & friend's, whilst staying in a Comfortable, Clean & a central location, with post office, Coles, Woolworths, & the wilsonton shopping centre. Right beside you, I had no need for a vehicle whole time I was there, but used taxi to get to hospital. ( too hot to walk) :-) hospital a couple of streets over, is all. Yes I will stay again, because of the room service that provides friendly cost meals from there Great Bristo, where I found the staff there very helpful & pleasing. Meals brought to my room was so great, & the price for senior’s Roast of the day, advertised for $16.was delivered to my room, for $15 because I had a room, which has coffe n tea, milk in bar fridge, possibly even a bottle of cold water, now summer’s on its way, with higher than normal temperature coming ( well that’s a suggestion I put on there website review) :-) So Great Place to Stay, Great Location, lots of retail shops beside the Accommodation is always a Bonus, in a travel senerio. Unfortunately I had trouble useing the wilsonton shopping centre free WIFI, also my single accommodation didn’t have a smart tv, which for the $125.00 room per night, would have made it financially worthy, because I can’t live without my...
Read moreMy night was going absolutely swimmingly until I saw what looked to be an extremely intoxicating dog dancing between the tables. Naturally, I attempted to calm the dog by whistling, however in its drunken state, it began to violently attack the children who were in the playground - I saw one child have to sacrifice his younger brother to get to safety. Finally, the kitchen staff were able to calm down the dog after repeatedly threatening it with chocolate and steak knives, and it finally settled. Just as I thought the ordeal was over, in walked multi-million dollar worth Kanye (Ye) West, who began passionately speaking about Jewish values, clearly moved by the football game broadcasted on the TV behind him. At the end of a lengthy 4 hour speech, he received a round of applause and ordered an orange juice, and when the bar staff kindly explained that the did not have orange juice, he called them ‘Jewish propagandists’. All in all, a great night out with the kids, although I had to leave without one, as his older brother sacrificed him to a drunk dachshund. Would highly recommend for families and...
