Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Rockhampton City

Preordered pizzas an hour before pick up time on a Thursday afternoon. Once arrived at the store, pizzas were still 45minutes late. We asked when we arrived and we’re informed they hadn’t even started our order yet. Spoke to the staff behind the counter as we were now running late and our young children crying. We were informed that we would receive a store credit and to just tell them our name next time we order. 2 weeks my partner rang the store while I drove into town to collect the pizzas. I spoke to a staff member who said that the manager was on the phone to my partner. I waited over 30 minutes in store to then have the manager tell me that they had no record of our store credit. This isn’t the first time this store has either given us the wrong order, made us wait excessive time lengths with no warning or just left things out of our order. Part of our order was a Creamy Mushroom Alfredo pasta. When I started eating it, it seemed a lot like one of their Mac and Cheese options - with some mushrooms on top. It was warm at the edges and cold in the middle, so we took it back. They cooked another one (about a 15 min wait), and this time, it was very hot, had spiral pasta instead of macaroni and the correct sauce. Much better, apart from the overcooked, rock hard pasta around the edges. Ordered 4 pizzas and 4 sides to be delivered. The pizzas were definitely cooked when the order was made because by the time they got delivered they were cold, chewy and terrible. Was my first and only time ordering at this store. Will go back to Dominos. If the owners/managers know that it won’t be delivered on or even near the time quoted, then don’t make it and let it sit there. The quality of the pizza decreases dramatically when they leave them sitting in a hot box or delivery bag for long periods of time. I know this from years of experience working in the pizza industry.
