Wing Ho Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Rockingham

Lady that served was friendly and service was quick. Entree was hot, and tasted fresh, but was delivered by robot, which wasn't impressive, because if what comes out the incorrect order, you've got nobody to tell. My friend ordered lemon chicken & fried rice. Lemon was crispy and moist, but covered in lemon sauce that tasted like what you'd imagine pinOcleen disinfectant to taste like. Artificial lemon juice perhaps? Mine was Szechuan beef & fried rice. Smelt like old oil, and tasted weird and not peppery at all, and sweet like a plum sauce or similar, and it had an abundance of choy sum stalks with no chili's in it at all. Rice on both plates was tasteless and did not resemble the traditional fried rice that one is accustomed to, and the pot of Chinese tea was tepid at best. This is the second Chinese eatery in Rockingham that I have been to this year, that has been extremely disappointing. My friends father lived in Kent street and use to order from Wing Ho all the time when it was in the old location, and the food was always beautiful. End of an era I guess. Won't be back, as I may not survive this meal. In hindsight, maybe that lady was the only one there and she was running the whole...

the welcome was very friendly although I wasn't sure at the door whether to enter the place because the door didn't look inviting. inside it was nice furnished and, above all, clean. the waitress had a mask on and was very friendly.

There are lunch menus too a reasonable price. no appetizers, salads or desserts. I ordered sweet and sour fish and what I would like to say about this dish, was the striking color of the red sauce, which looked very unnatural. she was very sweet/sugary, I don't know how she was made, at least that's how I did never seen at a sweet and sour sauce on fish. I ate it because I was very hungry.

a piece of the fish, the first piece, tasted of old oil. all other parts then not. so I don't understand why one part tasted like old oil and then all the other parts don't?

however i ate everything it was ok. the pineapple was canned. all in all average. for cleanliness and friendliness there is the 3rd point.

I was looking forward to dining here after all the great reviews. We arrived early mid week so only a few tables all up . The place is well hidden but beautiful inside and very spacious and roomy . Everything set up well. The young girl took our orders early and we didn’t have to wait long . The experience of having a robot bring out the meals made for a few photos and a bit of fun. But over we had our meals there wa really no more service from the young girl who was on her own , but not busy room . We had to ask for water … non on table . She bought water but no glasses so we used our wine glasses… our plates were not cleared until we we’re almost ready to leave . When we called her over to ask about coffee she was quite blunt and short saying it’s just instant coffee. A smile would have gone a long way Also. She may have just had an off night but as a customer it was disappointing service. Otherwise a lovely...
