Sale Rainbow Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Sale

On our trip to Melbourne from Narooma NSW and back we stopped by the Rainbow Chinese restaurant in Sale and as walk ins were welcomed. The service and quality of the fresh ingredients the first meal had us return and the return visit was equally as good as the first. The portions were generous and the pricing was pleasingly reasonable. Highly recommend this establishment and the wait staff. P.S take away meals were flying out the door while we we there another sign that the locals know what they have is worth...

Ordered a take away Szechuan pepper beef and small fried rice. Was told 20 min wait. So I waited and watched 8 people come and order their take away get it and leave (they waited 15min tops) I waited 55 min to get 1 dish and rice. Very very very disappointing to say the least. Not to mention the reason that they were sorry was because it was so busy and not the they had blatantly forgot my order. I should have went to Cole’s bought something to cook. Would have been more convenient...

Have relied on this place for years for a lemon chicken when passing through town and it has always delivered. Freshly battered and cooked chicken in super strong lemon sauce. This time we received reheated battered chicken that was tough and dry. Sauce was different. Perhaps new owners? Must be, as the contrast in food quality could not have been more stark.
