Wattaka Cafe — Restaurant in Singleton

I'd like to leave a good review, cos this is a hidden little surprise with lovely decor and friendly staff. But the quality (or lack thereof) of my food today means I won't be back. I ordered a coffee (very good) and the "French Toast with maple bacon and strawberries". I persevered, but ended up leaving most of it. The smell gave away the fact that the griddle has not been cleaned for a long time. The bacon was inedible...it didn't smell fresh and it was completely overcooked. The French toast was just ok, but it had a slightly rancid taste and smell. And the less said about the "strawberries", the better. There was one strawberry, thinly sliced and scattered over two very large pieces of toast. It was a most unpleasant experience. Good coffee saved it...

Stopped in this morning for a late breakfast.

Had the Tradies bacon & egg roll and a large flat white coffee. Both totally delicious.

Staff were nice and friendly.

Great central cafe to have a great meal break and excellent coffee.

Will definitely make it a regular...
