We have been travelling in our van for over 2 years, and this was the worst place I have stayed at. I have had to pull up because of doctor appointments. After weeks of trying to get through by phone, and leaving messages with no response, I finally got through.we were quoted $250 a week. When we arrived the lady was ok. She showed us our spot, and where I was to park my car next to a car park for a cabin. That was Tuesday, on Wednesday she noticed my son had a parole ankle bracelet on,and she told him by law, he was supposed to tell her. Well no by law he doesn't for what he was in jail for. She told him to put socks on because if the owner see's it he will kick us out, but she doesn't care because we all have chequered pasts.wedesday night our tap was leaking a lot of water. My son turned it off. Thursday morning my so told her about the water and she said the maintenance man would be down down in 30 minutes. By afternoon we still had no water and my son was using the empty site next door. My son went back up about the water and she came down with the maintenance man. She seen us using our washing machine, said we had to use there's. Then she said people where complaint about him not wearing a shirt and he had to wear mum. We are in 2023. Then she said if I wanted my car park I had to pay another site fee. I refused. She said then if I wanted to park on a grass are away from the van she wanted an extra $50 per week. I said no and I had to park my car outside in the visitor parking. I have COPD and on home oxygen and could not walk the distance to my car. We were sitting out side Saturday morning and a guy walking past said she had thrown him out because she found out he was Aboriginal. He then said the rumour going about the park that we were getting kicked out by the end of the month for owning our own washing machine and my son wearing no shirt. Weglad to say I'm not homeless and moved our van this morning because I am not paying...
Read moreupon arrival there is never anyone in reception, you're often left waiting or having to phone for service. ||- the management team is made up of the caravan park owner/head construction manager/very bad cleaner and a weekend manager would drinks and smokes a lot.||- the park is filled with many perm residents who made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable, many appear to not work and spend their days drinking. One morning our anex door was found unzipped, we are lucky not to have had goods left there overnight. ||- many of the perm residents caravans/units are run down with rusted decrepit panelling and cracked windows. ||- the original bathrooms are far away from everything and leave a lot to be desired, the new bathrooms are just a converted shipping container held up on cinder blocks. The water in the new toilet block stay hot for all of 40 seconds at a time and you'll find yourself fighting with the hot and cold taps. There are other single bathrooms called "ensuites" they are foul!!! The park has signs which state they don't want women leaving their "pads on the ground," yet either do not supply bins or are never emptied, YUCK. ||- If you're caravaning for the night, you'll be wading through uncut grass, which management was "gunna get around to" ||- washing facilities are over priced at 4 dollars for a wash and 4 dollars for a dryer per load. ||- the camp kitchen consists of an undercover BBQ area covered in ants and a small corner of the laundry room containing a dirty microwave and a coin operated camping hot plate. ||||The reason we stayed was because it was relatively cheap, however overpriced for the above reasons. The fact that management charges 30 dollars per night for people to stay in their own caravans is audacious to...
Read morethe cabin we stayed in was nice, would be nicer if the people who ran the place ran it properly. my partner and i were planning on staying there long term however we had an issue with one of the outlets they were quick to get electricians in however they didn’t notify us when they were coming instead they just unlocked the door and walked in, no knocking no announcement, nothing. as if the privacy violation wasn’t enough god forbid we have a cat, a cat that lays around and does nothing, so they kicked us out. even when we said we’ve applied for houses and have heard back from a few that wasn’t good enough apparently, nice to know these people would rather someone on the streets then properly clean a place before the next people stay in it. if they got cleaners in before the next residents stay in the place like they should then “allergies” wouldn’t be an issue for the next people cause apparently that’s why they don’t allow animals.
park rules were signed and no where did it state pets were not welcome, deeply considering taking this further.
As it states “breach in any of the above rules will result in your accommodation being cancelled”
we didn’t breach any of the rules.
