my partner and i had lunch at the hood yesterday, we ordered garlic bread entree, my partner order the the roast lamb with veggies and i ordered a chicken schnitzel with dianne sauce. when the meals came to our table the presentation was very ordinary, my partner tried the lamb, it was cold, very thick and tasted ordinary to the point she refused to eat it, my chicken schnitzel was absolutely covered in the wrong gravy sauce. we swapped meals i tried the lamb, i had to ask for a steak knife as the knife i was given would not cut the meat, the meat tasted dreadful, it tasted as if had been reheated from the previous night menu, the only part of the meal i ate was the veggies even those appeared to come from a frozen packet not fresh. my partner barely ate any of the schnitzel as it had no taste. the only enjoyable part of the meal was the garlic bread and the drinks. the only reason i rated this as 1 star as the young lady that took our order was...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had our wedding reception at The Robin Hood Strathalbyn was absolutely incredible! The venue was stunning, the atmosphere was perfect, and the food was honestly amazing — everyone is still talking about it!

Glenys and all her staff were beyond wonderful to work with — so friendly, helpful, and professional from start to finish. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they made everything run so smoothly on the night.

We couldn’t be more grateful for how beautifully everything came together. It was the perfect way to celebrate — thank you for making it so special! 💕

Beautiful local pub, beautiful...

Unfortunately this was a little disappointing for my family and I. We waited nearly an hour for our food, but wasn't too concerned as it was busy and it was obviously being cooked to order. Our meals did come out staggered (one family member had almost finished by the time the last came out), and some looked OK, however I had the schnitzel with chorizo, bacon and cheese topping. The chips were warm at best and the topping was way overcooked and very oily; needless to say I didn't finish as it just became too nauseating. Hopefully things improve as it is a quaint...
