Coca Bar is a Korean Restaurant bordering the river at Sunshine Plaza, meaning customers are provided with an amazing view of the waters and surrounding nature outside of the clean restaurant. Inside Coca Bar itself, there is a plethora of plants which really brightens up the atmoshere, providing a nice colour palette with the rest of the restaurant. The lighting itself is suitable, comfortable lighting imparting a nice welcoming feeling and a cozy atmosphere which is amplified by the quality of food and service. The restaurant is well maintained with no sign of dust or grime.
The restaurant caters for a wide range of individuals, with child-friendly amenities such as high chairs, wheel chair accessibility, and it appears that students or workers stop by to grab a coffee, snack or drink to study or work which is evidence of Coca Bars amazing atmosphere. The shop is pet-friendly which is also advertised on Coca Bars instagram. There is a large quantity of chairs and tables to cater for a lot of people with both indoor and outdoor dining. The shop is located on the rightside from the foodcourt entrance coming from the boardwalk, meaning its location is perfect for a quick stop by while shopping or as a place to enjoy meals with friends.
The bar on site provides a large plethora of beverages; both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The coffee itself is top notch, with latte art so good you would audibly gasp in awe. I, and two other friends visited 28/9 and were offered loyalty cards for coffee which I thought was wonderful and very accommodating. I also believe there is a staff member that can do 3D latte art. With the drinks, I usually order the passionfruit tea with passsionfruit popping balls as a passionfruit fanatic, and coming from someone who has tried a bunch of passionfruit-based boba drinks from other stores, none compares to Coca Bar. I wholeheartedly think it is the best on the coast.
In terms of food, you can tell the Kitchen has a strong work ethic and strives to produce quality food hot and fresh. I have come to Coca Bar a ton in the past, and from what I have experienced thus far, the food is consistently amazing. So kudos to kitchen! Servins are generous, and I especially love the large variety and range of options on the menu to choose from. All food options can be chosen at any time in the day. Personally, I love how you can customise your own set of skewers which an option to pick from three different sauces to compliment your choice of skewers. It always comes out fresh and the sauce is just mouth watering. The desserts especially, have massive portions, which may require a couple of friends to finish. It really seems like the food is made with love
Read moreOMG YUM!!! This Asian dessert haven has stolen my heart with their incredible treats. I recently had the pleasure of trying their Strawberry Cheesecake Bing and Mochi Biscoff Waffle and I was not disappointed!
The Strawberry Cheesecake Bing was pure deliciousness and had real pieces of cheesecake all throughout the dish. It's not just decor on top it's actually all throughout the whole huge bowl! The presentation was so pretty as well and we took about a thousand pictures before actually eating it lol.
Mochi Biscoff Waffle was a also match made in dessert heaven and it actually tasted incredible with some of the Bing on top too. We got one fruity cold dessert and one non-fruity warm dessert to compliment each other (HIGHLY recommend, mixing and matching was so fun). The waffle was crunchy on the outside and so yummy and squishy on the inside. Like just the perfect texture.
Another thing I really appreciate about Coca Bar is the portion sizes. They hit the sweet spot (pun intended) and give you a satisfying experience without being overwhelming. You get exactly what you pay for too.
Overall, Coca Bar is an absolute gem for dessert lovers. The flavors are on point, the presentation is lovely, and the portion sizes are just right. It's so good to see something really unique like this on the coast! Staff we're helpful and lovely too. Atmosphere is super cozy....
Read moreI got my flat white like this, no foam no latte art. If making coffee isn’t your strength, maybe it’s better not to offer it, or you should hire a skilled barista. No customer deserves this kind of experience.(The owner claimed that a flat white has no foam, which is so funny, maybe get some coffee knowledge before you reply?? And he believed latte art is only for latte coffee, which is just ridiculous! By the way, this wasn’t my first visit here. The first time, I got a normal coffee so I decided to give it another shot, but this time I ended up with this rubbish.)
Here’s your answer, flat white should have a thinner, silkier layer of foam, while a latte has a thicker, airier foam. This means a flat white does have foam, it’s not “don't have foam.” Your serve is just like espresso with hot milk. Also, let me clarify that “latte art” is just a term used to describe the patterns that can be applied to any type of coffee, not just lattes. A flat white should have a thinner layer of foam and a simple pattern, it doesn’t mean you can just leave it plain. Is that clear now? You need to take your business seriously. I’m not the one ruining it, you are because you lack basic knowledge about coffee and...
