I think it’s very rare to come across a place where every course presented to us was mind blowing. We had Chef Mikes Popcorn Chicken. Now I love a good popcorn chicken and this did not disappoint. For our mains hubby ordered Slow Cooked Angus Beef cheek Massaman and Roti. He was absolutely thrilled with his meal and as a foodie from Toronto I really trust his opinion. I scored myself a spoon full and some roti and have to agree “exceptional”. I was actually a bit more hesitant, Asian inspired fusion is generally hit or miss and not my usual cuisine of choice. Going in blind I ordered 24 Hour Braised five spice Beef… holy moly it was so fricken good. This dish was an absolute winner, tasty melt in your mouth meat and I might just be a convert. Never ones to do things in half measures we also ordered desert. Hubby asked about the Gelato and was amazing by the unique flavour choices (not the usual you would see at ice cream stores) after some advice from the lovely waitress he decided on blueberry. My husband is one of those restaurant diners who has is very vocal about his likes or dislikes and it’s rare that a meal silences him but this one did. He was absolutely blown away by the Blueberry gelato. It seems so random and small but it was a first experience and one he won’t forget. He loved it! I had the chocolate tart and the mix of rich chocolate, soft cream and sour freeze dried raspberries were perfection.
Anyways this is a long winded review of what we ate but this was just a perfect experience. Nice setting, lovely staff and incredible food. We will definitely be passing on the good word and we...
Read moreDee Den was recommended by a friend. A Sunday night and we didn't have a booking, but, in spite of it being busy, we were still given a table. The restaurant has a nice vibe, in a Queenslander, with gentle lighting and Asian decor. It was surprisingly quite a large space, but not too noisy and soft music. The menu is colourful and informative. It is Asian fusion and very tantalising causing some difficulty in choice - a good thing! There are three sizes - small, medium and large, but the prices are similar across the sizes. We had two medium plates and an entree that was sufficient for us. There is also a choice of 'Feeling Adventurous' banquet style meals. We started with DIY smoked duck pancakes ($36). 8 light pancakes with very tasty slices of crispy topped duck accompanied by a variety of things to add - cucumber, chilies, lychee salsa, dried shallots, coriander - with a strong house made Hoisin sauce - very good. I had grilled king prawns ($36) that had been split down the middle so it was easy to get the meat out, with lychee salsa, black garlic butter, sesame dressing, and it was delicious! I had a side of coconut rice that was also excellent. My wife had the Khao Soi Chicken Salad ($30) with crispy egg noodles, shallots, coconut and Thai basil that she really enjoyed but, for her, it had too much chili! The food was presented beautifully and very quickly, considering the number of patrons. This is a delightful restaurant and a great find. It is a little expensive, but, still very good value and the cooking and ingredients are excellent. We will definitely...

Four of us came to celebrate my birthday 🥳
This restaurant has hands down got to be the BEST Asian food I’ve ever had in Australia & better than some Asian countries I’ve visited.
In the beautiful town of Buderim this gorgeous space really has “Something different”
The combinations of flavours that have been delicately blended together to make delectable curries, rices & noodles are worth the drive from anywhere.
The turmeric chicken curry was like nothing I’ve ever experienced before, the chicken pad Thai was blended with chicken pieces that were so soft, fresh & tender that I initially thought were pieces of tofu - also present.
The ragù pad see EW also amazed me with the most tender pieces of ragù, totally melted in my mouth.
The banana blossom salad was very fresh & bursting with flavour.
The duck curry was also packed with delicious spices & tender duck meat.
The roti was like no other roti ever, it was so soft, moist & flaky, almost like puff pastry = amazing 🤤
We had plenty of leftovers to take away with us as well..
My only tiny tiny complaint - the espresso martini wasn’t great, it didn’t have that smooth coffee / liquor blend that a perfect martini would have, it was over powered by the vodka & liquor but I didn’t even care as our meals were so amazing 🥰
Seriously come & experience this restaurant for yourselves, you will not be...
