Flaming Sushi House — Restaurant in Sunshine Coast Regional

I would give Flaming 3.5 stars. The sushi was fresh and tasted good. The tempura 🍤 is very poor, I would rate it 1 out of 5. Not really a proper tempura batter. Tempura should be light and crispy, this was basically heavly battered and overcooked. Because it was so busy, we were on the sidewalk, so the atmosphere is what it is. The service was excellent and the staff were very polite and attentive. All in all for the price represents decent value. Update I had a couple of their special rolls and I have to admit they were excellent! I also had the 6 piece Calamari which was good, but the timing was all off. The calamari was made way in advance of the sushi (I ordered online and picked up in person), so it was luke warm at best. However it seems they have stepped up...

Ordered at 6:35 PM. Received my food at 7:50 PM. FOR TAKEAWAY. No tables, no seating, just a bunch of us standing around like idiots, waiting for sushi that apparently requires the same cook time as a Christmas turkey.

No updates, no apologies, just pure incompetence. If I wanted to waste my entire evening standing outside, I’d go queue for concert tickets. By the time my order finally appeared, after i had to chase it up 3 times ...I had aged, lost faith in humanity, and seriously considered switching to a diet of regret and air.

This place is a joke. Do yourself a favor—go literally...

Within a chock-full besser-block venue exists a thriving Sushi business. Its packed on a Sunday but we are seated almost instantly. Service is personal and efficient. The menu is extensive and well presented in a pictorial format so you read with your eyes and you know exactly what you're ordering. This is no Sushi-train-style, here you'll find kind accommodating table service and dishes delivered directly to your table.
