Very poor service, arrogant, we waited long time for our meals, my wife had the Bisque (only dish as she so very small eater) it was extremely salty, when we made a comment as my wife could not eat it the waitress / part owner said that is how is made in France - My wife is French and is absolutely not the case I had as an entree the Escargot (I love them when they made well) they were the worst ever I have eaten Mu main was passable The overall experience was the worst ever in a French restaurant, their food is not French maybe French influenced BUT NOT FRENCH!! - Better still, French restaurant she (waiter / part owner) cannot speak French WOW she got upset when my wife spoke I’m French to the cheap (her husband) The chef somewhat apologetic (not for the food) but the waitress / partner thought she knew better than the chef We have been to 30-40 French restaurant Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sunshine Coast this was worst ever the real rating is 00000 All our life have been surrounded by french foodies or chefs hence we know what french food is to taste like or look like (here and in France) plus the service was appalling an English musician pretending to be more than she is, not even a decent waitress ( I was a waiter / maître d’ for 8-9 years hence I have personal experience and I appreciate quality 8 can highly recommend a few exceptional restaurants in the Sunshine Coast - NOT THIS ONE This was worse than most take away I have...
Read moreWe had a delightful Valentine's Day dinner at this hidden gem of a French restaurant in Mooloolaba last night. After the closure of our favourite French restaurant in Flaxton, we were looking for a new place to try and we found this gem with great reviews on Google.
Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by Lucy. The restaurant is small and intimate, which creates a cozy atmosphere. We were impressed to learn that chef Stephen has served movie stars, politicians, and famous people from all over the world, and the walls were adorned with pictures of the notable people who had dined there.
The food was exquisite and definitely worth the visit. We enjoyed every dish, and the flavors were incredible. The decor also added to the overall ambiance, and we felt transported to France for the evening.
The service was outstanding, and we could tell that Lucy and Stephen have put a lot of heart into their work. We had a lovely time and will definitely be returning for another meal soon. If you're looking for a fantastic French restaurant on the Sunshine Coast, this is the...
Read moreI was fortunate to have run a the subsidiary of a French company in Australia so I have been to France many times and love French food and atmosphere. I have been searching for this on the Sunshine Coast since I arrived from Melbourne 2 years ago. To.my absolute delight I have now I have found it and more in the Brasserie Cent Six. The ambience of this small Brasserie reminds me of many I have been to in small villages in France. It is easy to meet other diners if you so wish. The food is prepared and served by the owners, the friendly and delightful Stephan and Lucy. It is obvious that everything is freshly made with love and care leaving a wonderful lasting taste in your mouth. I first went for a themed lunch which enticed me back for one of their musical Chat Noir dinners, another unforgettable experience. Now I am looking forward to their Bouilliabaise based evening which is back for its third run due to strong demand from the local French community and friends. I recommend it for its food, hospitality...
