After many years going to this coffee club, today was very disappointing. We have previously had good service and never had the need to write a review like this. I am not sure if the owner was just having a seriously bad day today. I was waiting for my takeaway at the counter as directed, the team were all cleaning up, and I thought my order may have been forgotten. Long story short, the owner then asked me if he could help and I explained I was waiting for my order and it seemed to be taking a long time. I had only ordered a snack that needed heating. He went to the back and brought it out on a plate and pretty much shoved it in my hand and talked over me when I tried to explain the situation. When he walked past where we were sitting I tried again to have a conversation explaining I had not appreciated the way he spoke to me. He asked why I was standing at the counter waiting for my food, to which I explained I had been directed to wait there by the lady who served me as I was happy to have it as takeaway. He talked over me, told me that they work 7 days a week for all the hours the plaza is open and put up with loads of complaints from customers and so sometimes they have just had enough. When I tried to explain that I understood, he cut me off saying that I could not understand and walked away. I was wanting to explain that we too had had businesses in the past, open 7 days a week from 9am to 9pm every day. The whole situation was blown way out of proportion from him, and left me feeling extremely bemused. We will return to the coffee club, but I sincerely hope this was a one off. This is seriously not what we would call good...

I'm sad to write this but what happened to the standard at coffee club? I went to the sunshine plaza for a coffee and lunch. The girl on the register was rude and unhelpful. She asked if I was a member I said yes and showed her my app with rewards in it. She scanned it and mumbled saving points, I thought she was asking, you have saving points too use so I replied yes. She then said the total and I said oh I thought you asked if I had points it's full price. She looked at me huffed and said NO I said are you saving them? I was like oh sorry I thought you meant did I want to use them. It then proceeded into a huge annoyance for her in the growing huffing manner she tapped away at the till like it was the hugest inconvenience. She messed up and asked to scan my app twice more like I'm sorry you have to do something to rectify your lack of clear communication. I then received my frittata it was so hot I burnt my mouth, it was so rubbery straight out of the microwave no doubt, I could have bounced that thing like a basketball. I took one mouth full and left. No dressing sauce or a bit of salad to make it look nice. Yeah not going...

I was very disappointed with my last experience at the Coffee Club at the Sunshine Plaza. We ordered our food and then specifically ordered “a zymil cappuccino”, however, when the waiter brought the coffee over, they said it was a cappuccino with vanilla syrup. I explained that we had ordered a cappuccino on zymil milk, and rather than calmly appologise for the mix up, someone came over very rudely with the order receipt to ‘prove’ that I had ordered a Vanilla Cappuccino. I would be completely understanding if the order had been taken incorrectly, had they simply been nice. It took so much hassle in conversation, until the manager finally rudely asked “so you want another cappuccino on zymil milk then?” And I said yes. I could see them talking among themselves and giving us dirty looks, and someone finally came over, abruptly placed my coffee on the table and said, “your lactose free cappuccino.” Disappointed in the general customer service and extremely rude attitudes of those involved. Will not be...

We went here on the weekend for breakfast and unfortunately we were very disappointed. The staff were neither friendly nor helpful. This seems to be a very common issue with all coffee clubs. We ordered 2 meals and a coffee and unsurprisingly both were even worse than the service. Most of the items on my "big breakfast" were over cooked but ironically, stone cold. Everything on my wife's plate tasted like yesterday's leftovers pulled straight from the fridge. Except the coffee, that was OK at best. Considering how expensive it is to eat here, it is really disappointing just how poor the quality of the food and drinks are. This particular Coffee Club is a must avoid.
