I was in Sydney for the day from the Central Coast & I was really looking forward to dining in a Turkish eatery (no way I’d call this place a restaurant). There was absolutely no love on this plate of food. The salad was fresh but the lamb was barely seasoned, chewy and hard to eat as the pieces were large and no knife was offered just plastic plates and a fork. Maybe if I could cut it up it would’ve made it edible. Couldn’t gain the staffs attention to ask for one. No yoghurt sauce to speak of - just a wedge of lemon. The guy serving looked bored and like he didn’t want to be there. He was also wiping sweat of his face with his bare hands and running his fingers through his hair while waiting for the meat to cook. He noticed that I’d noticed and had me take a table outside. The place is very tired and needs a good clean a refurbish and hospitable staff. I love Turkish food but this was Just Awful!

Cultural connection, friendly, kind & generous serving. Happily return to this place. Yes the restaurant needs a clean but the customer service was fabulous.

My late night stop over for a nice 🍲 Lentil, tripe, paça and beans (kuru fasulye) soup. Friendly service and portions are generous.

Pre ordered lahmacun, they said 15mins. I got there 25 mins later so 10 mins late yet they hadn't even started the order as I saw the guy asking another worker does this need to be done whilst holding up the post it note with my order. I knew then it was going to be another 15mins. That's not the biggest issue though, mistakes happen. I stood there for 14mins exactly with my drinks placed on the counter. Out of the 6 workers and with only 1 other customer standing next to me not 1 of them asked if I'm ok or being served. So I just stood there thinking how long can this go on, 5 people walked in after me and they all got served instantly. After 15 mins of waiting I finally decided enough is enough and raised my voice yet they didn't seem to care. Will never go...

Hey guys if ur planning on going to this restaurant i would highly recommend u to change ur mind. I went there last night but the small amount of food and the way they just put everything on the plate was horrendous. However, the worst part was the salad it was like they got some grass from their backyard mixed it up and violà. Although i went through all of that i thought maybe the chips couldn't be that bad, but when they served it to me i was so furious; as they had placed a small sized amount of chips in a big plate. To conclude if ur planning on enjoying ur food i highly doubt u will at Ali Baba. Instead go to ☆☆☆NEW...
