Aomori sushi in Caringbah NSW — Restaurant in Sydney

Really poor service. Ever since new management took over about 2 years ago, they tell you a time for pickup, but don't even start preparing until you sit there right in front of the counter. This has happened to many of my friends multiple times. If you ask for a refund after an hour (for something that they said would take 15 minutes), they say "no refund... sorry!", if you insist, they will give it to you, but are rude about it. The customer service is really atrocious.

The food is okay (sometimes feels a bit stale, but on most occasions it's been average and sometimes even better than average)... if you want fresh sushi (not take the chance to be served what might have been prepared the day before sometimes), to go Kanji Sushi across the road... not only do they have absolutely fresh amazing food, they also have a fantastic attitude to customer service.

Oh, and Amori is expensive too... they were the only sushi shop in Caringbah with proper tables to sit at... but now you have a much better place in Denman Av (about 2 minute walk from there)... now the people in Amori are only clueless creatures of habit that have no idea that there is much much much better japanese places within 2 minutes walk of...

Food and service are is great. Unfortunately we encounter someone rude tonight. My wife is pregnant and I am holding a kid sleeping on my shoulder. So as you could imagine it’s hard to move once you sit down. This plus size middle age Caucasian lady wearing white clothes with green flowers pattern could not fit in the chair due to her extra wide “you know what”. So my wife tried to move her chair but she needs some time as she is pregnant. While already moving, she was pushing my wife to do it “you can move your chair!” In a really unfriendly tone. My wife responded “I know, I am already moving”. You know one of those that bring a bottle of cheap wine and dine in a Japanese restaurant but being pretentious? It’s as if the staff need to lick her feet to get paid. Seriously if you are reading this, be nice to people like your older friend. If I am not holding a kid, next time I won’t be that polite. Better don’t let me bum into you again in the area. I won’t be this polite and suggest that you go on some health program for...

Aomori has become one of my husband and I’s absolute favourite local place to go for dinner. The food is always fresh and so delicious! The staff are super friendly and I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

My husband and I are absolutely gutted that we are moving to QLD but whenever we visit Sydney, Aomori will always be on the top of our list to visit! 💖
