For Thai food that will tantalize your tastebuds look no further!

I stumbled upon Aree Thai Twist on a Tuesday night. I had just finished some last minute grocery shopping on the way back from a long day at work and was not in the mood for my usual frozen meal.

After a friendly welcoming, I was gently led to my table and seated. I was quite impressed by the design of the restaurant which was simple and modern. The place was also well lit, and the yellow colour scheme along with wooden style furnishings contributed to an overall warm and grounded atmosphere.

In going through the menu I was pleased to see the familiar favourites, but there were also a few dishes I had never encountered before that piqued my interest. Overwhelmed with choice, the waitress was helpful enough to give me thoughtful recommendations based on my preferences. Big tick.

My entrée arrived sooner than I expected. The Curry Puffs were light, buttery and flaky. The filling was also good, tasty enough to make you look forward to the main course. A good start.

It wasn't long after that my 2 mains arrived (I was very hungry), both of which left me speechless from the first bites. The Crispy Whole Barramundi was just sensational. A nicely fried fish full of flavour, swimming in their special sauce that was sweet and slightly spicy. The Thai fried Rice was also perfectly executed, very generous both in terms of ingredients used and serving size. Imagine individual grains of rice dancing around diced pieces of carrot, corn and crispy pork belly in your mouth.

My only disappointment was that there was no dessert. The reason being that they just opened up and were still figuring out that part of the menu. Hopefully there’s some soon because I am definitely...

If you’re on the lookout for some Thai street food or just some alternatives to the standard Thai menu I suggest you give this restaurant a try.

The clear soup with chicken, chicken meatballs and noodles is a great choice if you’re into the pho style meals.

Staff are very friendly and will help you with your choice if you’re unsure what you would like. The chef is happy to tailor the meal to your needs if you have any food allergies or dietary requirements.

The place is very clean, the kitchen is open so you can see the food prep area. The decor is quite modern and fresh. This is a great place to catch up with some friends, have an easy conversation and grab a nice tasty bite to eat.

The lunch specials are great for $15 , make sure you bring cash to save the surcharge and to get a couple of spring rolls thrown...

First time here. It was almost 8pm when we arrived. Staff were friendly escorted us to our table for 2. Gave us menus and shortly after came back to take our order. We ordered steam rice, chicken stir fry and prawn pad thai along with lemon iced tea. It took longer than usual for our food to be served, mind you they were not busy maybe short staff as it is very common no adays. but boy it was worth the wait. Food was served hot, fresh, tasty and yummy. Normally I am very fussy with where I eat but this did not disappoint. My partner demolished his food in no time where I took my time in enjoying mine. I am glad we dined here instead. Will definitely be back...

Had a great time here last night. Ordered a grilled chicken mango salad, pad thai and sorbet. Dinner was refined and dessert was nostalgic! Seafood was pleasantly fresh. Service was authentically Thai (full of smiles) and consistent across the team. Price is slightly high but with the big portions, quality of food, comfortable environment and wonderful service, it’s definitely justifiable. Looking forward to try the curries next time!
