Mad Mex Maroubra — Restaurant in Sydney

This place is literally disgusting, what I saw of their food safety hygiene standards literally made me want to vomit. And it was all done right in front of me.

I question if there are any food safety standards taught by management to employees? Because this has to be a top down issue.

Seeing in front of me while I'm waiting to order how dirty the food service area was with cross contamination of ingredients was gross enough but to see the server scraping out the nasty looking crusty remnants of the last batch of black beans(contaminated with chunks of rice and meat and whatever else was in there that had fallen into it) and drop that into a new fresh batch of black beans and mix it around then put into the serving area for everyone's orders made me think how could a food business be so disgusting to not throw that away that was likely there for hours stewing away.

I know for a fact places like Guzman y Gomez, have strict times that cooked food can be sitting out before it must be thrown away and replaced with a fresh batch. How can this or any place not take care of their produce being served for people to eat.

This place needs strict fixing up from upper management as it was the grossest thing I've ever seen at any food outlet ever.

On 22nd on December I decided to try this place. walked in to the counter to order where no one was in line. a few customers standing far looking at menu not ready to order hence why i moved in front of them. At counter a worker lady finally attended us, but with an attitude and told us not to cut in line and go back to behind where the guys were looking at the menus. The other customers obviously let us through knowing that at that time they were not ready to order. So i ordered and got my item cooked and once ready the dish was basically thrown to the table and she walked off. She continued mumbling while preparing the dish, what an absolute disgusting service that person has. I want to start this review, as how i started my first burrito from here, with a BANG. And not the bang you hear from a gun, more the bang of sitting that beautifully wrapped, delicous and weighty burrito on the table. Your body releasing anything and everything in your hands as you orgasm into burrito ecstasy. I questioned myself for a moment, when did gordan ramsey become mexican? Is it his distant cousin Gohan Ramiez? Or maybe they hired el chapo to formulate the eye of the beast. Whoever engineered this burrito should have their iq tested and forced to study black holes.
